- The study analyzed 34 patients with complex proximal humerus fractures treated with long contoured locking plates; 25 patients' outcomes were evaluated after a mean follow-up of 27 months.
- Pain levels were relatively low at the final follow-up, with an average VAS score of 3.6 and minimal severe pain reported.
- Despite some complications, including infections and non-unions in a few cases, the findings suggest that long contoured locking plates are an effective treatment method for these types of fractures.

Background And Purpose: The Stanmore Percentage of Normal Shoulder Assessment (SPONSA) is a patient-reported outcome measure (PROM). The score assesses pain, range of movement, strength, stability and function of the shoulder. The aim of this work was to formally validate the SPONSA.
