Uterine sarcomas are very rare malignancies, and when a hysterectomy is performed for benign causes, a risk of about 1/500 is mentioned for possible uterine sarcomas. Endometrial stromal neoplasms are a rare subgroup of uterine sarcomas that account for less than 10% of all uterine sarcomas. Mixed endometrial stromal and smooth muscle tumors, also known as stromomyomas, are defined as having at least 30% each of endometrial stromal and smooth muscle components.

Incidence of molar pregnancy is 1-3/1000 pregnancies. Invasive mole is a local invasive form of gestational trophoblastic neoplasias which is mostly seen in reproductive age and usually follows a molar pregnancy and rarely has an initial presentation. Ectopic pregnancy in rudimentary uterine horn is extremely rare and is seen in 1/100,000 - 140,000 pregnancies.

Background/aim: The purpose of this study is to investigate the prognostic significance of lower uterine segment (LUS) involvement in endometrial cancer (EC).

Materials And Methods: We reviewed the patients who were operated at our institution between July 2007 and March 2015 with the diagnosis of EC. Tumors localized in the corpus and involving the LUS or localized entirely in the LUS formed Group A, while tumors in the uterine corpus without LUS involvement formed Group B.
