Background: Given the limited research conducted on the role of a human co-driver in mitigating occupational health and safety risks, this study aims to investigate the impact of a co-driver on health and safety conditions in the truck transportation process.

Methods: The truck transportation process was divided into three main stages: truck loading, driving, and unloading. Using the job safety analysis (JSA) method, an analysis of the tasks within each stage was conducted, allowing for the identification of essential and safe tasks and conditions.

Aim: This placebo-controlled and randomized pilot study aimed to assess the feasibility and impact of tofacitinib/remdesivir combination therapy compared to remdesivir alone on clinical and laboratory findings of severely ill COVID-19 patients for future large-scale studies.

Method: Fifty patients were included in this study. They were randomly allocated into two groups of 25 subjects each.

Bacterial ribonucleoprotein bodies (BR-bodies) are non-membrane-bound structures that facilitate mRNA decay by concentrating mRNA substrates with RNase E and the associated RNA degradosome machinery. However, the full complement of proteins enriched in BR-bodies has not been defined. Here, we define the protein components of BR-bodies through enrichment of the bodies followed by mass spectrometry-based proteomic analysis.

The purpose of this research was to design a fully automated centrifugal microfluidic system (Lab-on-a-Disk) for isolating cell free fetal DNAs (cffDNAs) from whole blood. To achieve this goal, magnetic silica beads were used, such that after attaching cffDNA to them, they were transferred between chambers by using external fixed magnets. All the standards and required steps for cffDNA extraction including plasma separation, adding proteinase K, lysis buffer, binding buffer, washing buffer, and elution buffer were considered in this designed disk.

Introduction: Due to the chronic nature of the diabetes, patients who suffer from this disease need education to take care of themselves and increase self-care. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effect of e-learning and teach-back methods on the performance of diabetic patients.

Methods: In this study, 144 patients with type 2 diabetes were selected based on purposive sampling.

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have the ability to migrate into tumor sites and release growth factors to modulate the tumor microenvironment. MSC therapy have shown a dual role in cancers, promoting or inhibiting. However, MSCs could be used as a carrier of anticancer agents for targeted tumor therapy.

Due to the expansion of point-of-care devices, proposing a convenient and efficient method for blood-plasma separation would help with the use of point-of-care devices. Commercial microfluidic chips are only able to separate a limited amount of plasma, and the majority of these chips need an active valve system, which leads to increase manufacturing cost and complexity. In this research study, we designed a centrifugal microfluidic disk with a passive valve for ultra-accurate and efficient blood-plasma separation on a large scale (2-3 mL).

Melatonin has emerged as an important signaling molecule that regulates plant responses to environmental stresses. In this research, melatonin was used to alleviate the adverse effects of oxidative stress induced by water deficit in Moldavian balm () plants and morpho-physiological traits were investigated. This experiment was conducted as a factorial arrangement based on completely randomized design with four replications.

Background: Since the presence of a co-driver can be considered as a companion, partner, or friend for a driver through eliminating driver's loneliness, it plays a significant role in health and safety of drivers. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of co-drivers on depression and occupational stress on male truck drivers.

Methods: This study was an interventional case-control study.

Background: Human behavior is recognized as the main factor in the occurrence of accidents (70-90 percent), with human personality and problem solving ability as two related factors in the occurrence of medical errors (annually 42.7 million in the world). The objectives of this study were to investigate the relationship between personality factors, problem solving ability and medical errors.

Accumulated evidence indicates that there are intrinsic differences between adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ASCs) obtained from different body fat depots. Here, we compared the proliferation and multipotency of subcutaneous ASCs (SC-ASCs) and epididymal ASCs (ED-ASCs) before and after induction of diabetes by streptozotocin. The adipogenic and osteogenic abilities of rat SC-ASCs and ED-ASCs were evaluated using Oil Red O and Alizarin Red staining, respectively.

Background: Limited knowledge about the molecular mechanism of avian influenza H9N2 virus pathogenicity in birds as well as human hosts has limited the development of effective control against the disease. To overcome this issue detailed understanding of the infectious characteristics of the virus in host cells should be obtained.

Objectives: In this study we examined the replication kinetics of H9N2 virus in a chicken hepatoma cell line to obtain insight into the pathogenesis of H9N2 viruses.

A cloud point extraction (CPE) method for determination of trace amounts of penicillin G by spectrophotometry based on its effect on the triiodide ion (I3(-)) has been developed. Penicillin G is converted to the corresponding penicilloic acid by carrying out hydrolysis with sodium hydroxide solution, and treatment with acid yields D-penicillamine that is oxidized quantitatively by iodine to give rise to a disulfide. The 13- remaining in the solution is extracted into the surfactant Triton X-100, and the difference between absorbance of the working solution in the presence and absence of penicillin G is proportional to the amount of penicillin G.

A stability indicating High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method was validated and used to study the degradation of cetirizine dihydrochloride in acidic and oxidative conditions. The separation was carried out on a Symmetry C18 column and a mixture of 50 mM KH2PO4 and acetonitrile (60:40 v/v, pH = 3.5) was used as the mobile phase.
