Background: Following the latest war in 2023, over nine million people have been internally displaced, of which White Nile State received over 50,000. They lived in different camps and moved to big cities. This study assessed the scope of mental and physical concerns among the IDPs to identify important healthcare needs.

Metastatic chondrosarcoma has a poor prognosis, and effective systemic therapies are lacking. Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutations represent a potential therapeutic target, but IDH inhibitors alone have shown limited clinical efficacy to date.

Surprisingly, some but not all members of the cellulose synthase-like M (CslM) gene family have recently been shown to be involved in the glycosylation of the aglycone core of a range of triterpenoid saponins. However, no cell wall activity has yet been attributed to any of the CslM gene family members.

Background: Restoration of a straight and adequately wide nasal dorsum is challenging in patients with deviated noses. Supporting a reformed septum with an extended spreader graft (ESG) is important for maintaining position.
Objective: The study aimed to describe different types of ESG and propose a comprehensive algorithm for using specific types of ESGs in rhinoplasty according to the particular type of deviated nose.
Background: Obesity is an increasing health concern, affecting 39% of the population. In Qatar, in recent years, the obese population contributed 35.9% of men and 46.

It is notable for having a variety of morphological appearances that make diagnosis challenging, particularly when observed on an uncommon anatomical site. Here, we present a case of a woman in her mid-50s who presented with a skin pedunculated lesion over the right thigh.

Methods: After induction of diabetes, The wound healing effects of fibroin (50 mg/ml), aloe vera gel (50 mg/ml), and ginger extract (30 mg/ml), individually and in combination, were assessed.
Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the most frequently diagnosed hematologic malignancy in the United States. DLBCL exhibits significant molecular and clinical heterogeneity, and at least a third of patients are left uncured with standard frontline chemoimmunotherapy. As such, there is a critical need to identify novel targeted therapies to improve outcomes.

The protein level of RPL23 increased after fungal infection in termites, but how it influence active immunity in termites is unknown. The role of RPL23 gene was studied to evaluate its impact on active immunity of termite Reticulitermes chinensis against entomopathogenic fungus (EPF) Metarhizium anisopliae.

Their performance is intricately intertwined with their fate in the demanding biological environment. Once inside cells, these nanoparticles can be degraded, implying a loss of magnetic efficacy, but also transformed into neo-synthesized magnetic nanoparticles, potentially restoring functionality.

Objective: To compare the modulation complexity scores across treatment sites, and to examine their connection with monitor unit, segment number and global and local gamma passing percentage.
Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted at the Baghdad Centre for Radiation Therapy and Nuclear Medicine, Baghdad Medical City, Baghdad, Iraq, from May 2021 to February 2022. Included were 34 patients, with the age range between 20 - 50 years, subjected to intensity-modulated radiation therapy for head and neck tumours in group A or pelvic tumours in group B.
The primary aim of the article is to analyze the response of the human immune system when it encounters the hepatitis B virus. This is done using a mathematical system of differential equations. The differential equation system has six components, likely representing various aspects of the immune response or virus dynamics.

Unlabelled: Extra Nasopharyngeal Angiofibromas are rare benign vascular tumors typically affecting adolescent males. They have variable sites of origin. Only five cases of extra nasopharyngeal angiofibroma originating from the middle turbinate have been reported in the literature, here we present the sixth such case.

Transcriptome-based prognostic PDAC tumor subtypes, known as 'basal-like' and 'classical' subtypes are associated with differences in metabolic gene expression including genes involved in glycolysis. Tumor subtype-specific metabolism phenotypes may provide new targets for treatment development in PDAC, but their functional relevance has not been fully elucidated.

A significant share of wastewater produced during different processes is released to the surroundings without further treatment. Therefore, polluted water sources are triggering diseases like typhoid. To avoid this, various techniques have been developed for the removal of contaminants from the water.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe pollution of wastewater with pharmaceuticals and endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in populated areas poses a growing threat to humans and ecosystems. To address this serious problem, various one-dimensional (1D) hierarchical ZnO-based nanostructures inspired by Anelosimus eximius cobwebs were developed and successfully grown on a glass substrate through simple hydrothermal synthesis. The nanorods (nr) obtained during primary growth were chemically etched with KOH (ZnO-KOH), followed by the secondary growth of nano cobweb-like (ncw) structures using polyethyleneimine (ZnO).
