Background: Obesity is the single most burdensome lifestyle disease, which has reached epidemic proportions. This study aimed to examine the eating behavior patterns and beliefs in a group of adolescents living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Procedure: A questionnaire was administered to adolescents (aged 11 and 18 years) attending outpatients' clinics at governmental health facilities.
Objectives: To assess the trend of clinicopathological features and treatment modalities in patients with thyroid cancer (TC) in the largest oncology center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Methods: A retrospective analysis of patients with TC presenting to a tertiary care hospital in Al Ain, UAE between September 2008 and December 2018 identified using ICD 9 & 10 codes was performed. Data on demographics, histopathology, surgical extent, and use of Radioiodine (RAI) were extracted.
Objectives: We sought to ascertain the clinical characteristics and control rate of acromegaly in the UAE.
Methods: We conducted a multicenter retrospective analysis of all patients presenting with acromegaly to six endocrine centers in the UAE between November 2010 and December 2018. Demographic, clinical, biochemical, and radiologic data were collected.
Premix insulins are commonly used insulin preparations, which are available in varying ratios of different molecules.
