Exosomes, extracellular vesicles (EVs) with an average size of 50-150 nm, transfer various biomolecules and exchange signaling molecules between cells in a paracrine manner. Molecular investigations have revealed that EVs can reflect real-time metabolic changes in normal- and cancer-origin cells and thus harbor valid diagnostic biomarkers. Despite these advantages, the detection of low concentrations of cancer cell EVs in biological fluids is still a great challenge.

Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to treat nonrheumatic inflammation, migraine, and gout. Therefore, the determination of naproxen in pharmaceutical and biological samples is of particular importance. In the present work, SrTiFeO perovskite/Chitosan nanosheets were used to modify the surface of a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for highly sensitive determination of naproxen.

The development of new catalysts from abundant raw materials, generating attractive photocatalytic activity, constitutes a real challenge in the context of sustainable development concerns. In this setting, a dolomite was treated at 800 °C (D800) and then chemically modified by Ca(NO) (CaD800) using a simple procedure. The resulting materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), solid state UV spectroscopy, and used as catalysts of pentachlorophenol (PCP) degradation in aqueous solutions under UV light irradiation.

In the present work, a combined experimental and quantum chemical study on ground state equilibrium structure, spectroscopic and nonlinear optical properties of selected disperse azo dye molecules are reported. The vibrational transitions were identified based on the recorded FT-IR spectra in the range of 4000-400 cm(-1) for solid state, simulated IR spectra and total energy distribution (TED) of vibrational modes. The chemical shifts were determined from the results of observed (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra in chloroform and dimethylsulfoxide solution.

This study reports the characterization of disperse red 1 acrylate compound by spectral techniques and quantum chemical calculations. The spectroscopic properties were analyzed by FT-IR, UV-vis, (1)H NMR and (13)C NMR techniques. FT-IR spectrum in solid state was recorded in the region 4000-400 cm(-1).
