Percutaneous Partial Bone Excision in the Management of Diabetic Toe Osteomyelitis.

Background: Diabetic foot osteomyelitis affecting the toes is associated with several complications including amputation. Management is variable and include medical therapy alone or coupled with surgery. Removal of infected tissues is a common therapeutic option.

Ectopic adrenal tissue (EAT) is an extremely unusual finding. The most common site is the genitourinary tract and pelvis, and more frequently in males than females. In our report, we discuss an ectopic adrenal cortical tissue detected in the descending mesocolon in an elderly female.

Background: Alzheimer's disease is most common among the dementias and is characterized by gradual declines in functional and cognitive abilities. Caregivers including family members play a key role in providing critically needed care for these patients.
