The accuracy of femoral artery blood flow measurements via Doppler ultrasound hinges on assumptions of laminar flow upstream of the femoral bifurcation. Existing scanning guidelines recommend a minimum proximity to the flow divider of 2-3 cm for avoiding multidirectional blood flow yet lack experimental evidence to support this recommendation. This study aimed to determine the minimum distance required to avoid multidirectional flow contamination near the femoral bifurcation and to assess the reliability of vector flow imaging (VFI) in these measurements.

This reformulation can potentially dovetail with machine learning platforms like TensorFlow and PyTorch that already support sparse matrix operations. In the development of ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM) methods, appropriate test beds are needed to facilitate algorithmic performance calibration. We previously showed that transforming growth factor beta (TGFβ) signaling was elevated in developing anterior segments from Col4a1 mutant mice and that reducing TGFβ signaling ameliorated ASD, supporting a role for the TGFβ pathway in disease pathogenesis. For high-frame-rate ultrasound imaging, it remains challenging to implement on compact systems as a sparse imaging configuration with limited array channels. One key issue is that the resulting image quality is known to be mediocre not only because unfocused plane-wave excitations are used but also because grating lobes would emerge in sparse-array configurations.
