Simulating Groundwater Interaction with a Surface Water Network Using Connected Linear Networks.

Simulating the interaction of groundwater with surface water networks using traditional boundary packages available with MODFLOW-USG can be challenging for complex systems. Often several package types are required as they are typically purpose built. Moreover, these packages generally do not interact with one another which complicates accounting of groundwater discharge at different points within the system.
