Predictors of Outcomes After Gastric Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy for Refractory Gastroparesis: A Systematic Review.

Introduction: Gastroparesis is a debilitating gastroduodenal disorder for which gastric peroral endoscopic myotomy (GPOEM) has emerged as an efficacious treatment option. However, response to GPOEM varies between 50% and 80%, such that preoperative predictors of treatment success are needed to guide patient selection.

Methods: We performed a systematic review to identify predictors of clinical and functional response to GPOEM among adult patients with gastroparesis (PROSPERO: CRD42023457359).

Arm A of the Phase I trial NCT04196413 administered one IV dose of autologous GD2-CART to patients with H3K27M-mutant pontine (DIPG) or spinal (sDMG) diffuse midline glioma at two dose levels (DL1=1e6/kg; DL2=3e6/kg) following lymphodepleting (LD) chemotherapy. Patients with clinical or imaging benefit were eligible for subsequent intracerebroventricular (ICV) GD2-CART infusions (10-30e6 GD2-CART).

Effect of menstrual cycle and menopause on human gastric electrophysiology.

Chronic gastroduodenal symptoms disproportionately affect females of childbearing age; however, the effect of menstrual cycling on gastric electrophysiology is poorly defined. To establish the effect of the menstrual cycle on gastric electrophysiology, healthy subjects underwent noninvasive Body Surface Gastric Mapping (BSGM; 8x8 array) with the validated symptom logging App (Gastric Alimetry, New Zealand). Participants included were premenopausal females in follicular ( = 26) and luteal phases ( = 18) and postmenopausal females ( = 30) and males ( = 51) were controls.

Introduction: Chronic gastroduodenal symptoms are frequently overlapping within existing diagnostic paradigms, and current diagnostic tests are insensitive to underlying pathophysiologies. Gastric Alimetry has emerged as a new diagnostic test of gastric neuromuscular function with time-of-test symptom profiling. This study aimed to assess the impact to diagnosis and health care utilization after the introduction of Gastric Alimetry into clinical care.

Their processing yields massive precursors that include dozens of assembly factor proteins. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, nucleolar assembly factors form 2 coaxial layers/volumes around ribosomal DNA.
