In-stent restenosis of a previously atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis initially treated with endovascular stenting may progress to subtotal occlusion and loss of renal function. The clinical course of an acute occlusion is mainly acute oligo-anuric renal failure. Therefore, rapid diagnosis and treatment are critical for renal survival.
