Implementing accelerometer technologies in beef operations is an alternative to increase precision in estrous detection. We hypothesized that (1) the accelerometer algorithm has similar accuracy in detecting behavioral estrus as does visual observation of pressure-sensitive sensors (estrus patches) in grazing beef cows; (2) variables measured by the accelerometer, such as estrus intensity, are associated with hormonal, ovarian, and uterine variables monitored before, during, and after estrus; and (3) the accelerometer variables are associated with the probability of pregnancy in grazing beef cows submitted to embryo transfer (ET). Aims: To evaluate utilisation of HF pharmacotherapy and prevalence of polypharmacy, adverse drug events (ADEs), falls, delirium, renal impairment and duration of hospitalisation in older inpatients, according to frailty.
Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional study of the TO HOME cohort of 2000 inpatients ≥75 years admitted for ≥48 h to rehabilitation, geriatric or general medicine from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017 across six hospitals in Sydney, Australia.
Rationale: The Drug Burden Index (DBI) measures exposure to anticholinergic and sedative drugs, which are associated with harm in older adults. To facilitate deprescribing in older Australian inpatients, we piloted an intervention bundle integrating the DBI in Electronic Medical Records, clinician deprescribing guides, consumer information leaflets and a stewardship pharmacist.
Objectives: To understand (i) hospital clinician experiences of using the bundle and (ii) consumer (patient and carer) and General Practitioner (GP) experiences of in-hospital deprescribing, following bundle implementation.

Methods: Four focus groups were undertaken, each on a different medication type (antibiotics, lipid-lowering agents, opioids and acetylcholinesterase inhibitors). Transcripts underwent qualitative analysis using line by line inductive coding and then a person-centred framework to highlight themes across medication types.
Objectives: To inform the design of electronic decision support (EDS) to facilitate deprescribing in hospitals we set out to (1) explore the current processes of in-hospital medicines review, deprescribing and communication of deprescribing decisions with the patient's general practitioner (GP), (2) identify barriers to undertaking these tasks and (3) determine user preferences for EDS.
Design: Multimethod, multisite study comprising observations, semistructured interviews and focus groups.
