Purpose: To evaluate the use of anterior lamellar recession with buccal mucous membrane grafting for treatment of cicatricial entropion.
Methods: A retrospective interventional case series of 26 patients (35 eyelids) who underwent anterior lamellar recession with buccal mucous membrane grafting for cicatricial entropion.
Results: Thirty-five eyelids of 26 patients were treated for moderate to severe cicatricial entropion between 1992 and 2005.
Purpose: To describe clinical characteristics and visual and anatomic outcomes of a syndrome in older patients that is similar in its active stage to acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy, but has a distinct clinical course.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed medical records and photographic studies of consecutive patients over the age of 50 who presented with acute-onset visual symptoms associated with flat, gray-white lesions at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium reminiscent of acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy.
Results: The cohort included four men and two women with a median age of 72.

Purpose: To describe clinical characteristics and visual and anatomic outcomes of a syndrome clinically similar to acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy (APMPPE) in older patients.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed medical records and photographic studies of consecutive patients over the age of 50 who presented to an academic tertiary care center with acute-onset visual symptoms associated with flat, gray-white lesions at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium reminiscent of APMPPE. Main outcome measures were visual acuity and macular anatomic status at the final follow-up visit.
Purpose: To report on the prevalence of psychiatric disease and psychosocial stress in children with nonorganic visual loss.
Materials And Methods: Case series of 71 consecutive pediatric patients with a variety of nonorganic visual signs and symptoms. Chart review of ophthalmologic findings and details of medical and social history with main outcome measures of prevalence of psychiatric disease and psychosocial stress.
