In this paper, we present a novel approach to spectral stereoscopic imaging. It is based on simultaneous spectral filtration of two light beams with a tunable acousto-optical filter (AOTF) of original design. It does not require large crystals and complicated optical relay systems, because two beams diffract in the same volume of the crystal medium but at different angles.

We propose a new technique for three-dimensional (3-D) imaging in arbitrary spectral intervals. It is based on a simultaneous diffraction of two divergent stereoscopic light beams on a single acoustic wave propagating in a uniaxial birefringent crystal. We discuss in detail this configuration of acousto-optic (AO) interaction, derive basic relations, and experimentally demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach to 3-D spectral imaging.

The paper deals with effects of the ionising radiation (γ-IR, 0.5 Gy) upon serum testosterone (T), characteristics of testosterone-binding globulin (TeBG) and androgen receptor (AR) in parallel with observation of androgen (A) responsive enzyme activity - hexokinase (HK). The interdependence or relationships of T-levels with parameters of the proteins that provide androgenic regulation are consequently analyzed in post-IR dynamics.

We consider the technical possibility of an adaptive contact lens and an adaptive eye lens implant based on the modal liquid crystal wavefront corrector, aimed to correct the accommodation loss and higher-order aberrations of the human eye. Our first demonstrator with 5 mm optical aperture is capable of changing the focusing power in the range of 0 to +3 diopters and can be controlled via a wireless capacitive link. These properties make the corrector potentially suitable for implantation into the human eye or for use as an adaptive contact lens.
