Background: Pregnant women and their families, especially those navigating chronic illness or challenging life situations, often seek information and counseling. The pregnancy period and the transition to parenthood can exacerbate these circumstances, leaving families particularly vulnerable. Addressing stressful situations becomes a hurdle in this context.

Digitization and health inequality and equity in nursing.

The use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in health care is increasing attention. To describe health inequalities and equity with regard to the use of digital health technologies in a care context and to understand interrelationships, it is of particular importance for the field of care research to use models and theories that explain health inequalities and equity in the use of digital technologies. This article aims to identify models and theories from the field of nursing and health research that explain the phenomenon of health inequalities and the influence of digital health technologies on the emergence of inequalities.

What works, for whom and under what circumstances? Using realist methodology to evaluate complex interventions in nursing: A scoping review.

Background: The Medical Research Council's (MRC) framework recommends basing every evaluation of a complex intervention on a theory that explains WHY an intervention works instead of focusing exclusively on the identification IF an intervention works. Theory-based evaluation approaches such as realist evaluations are promising in this respect. The aim of this scoping review is to examine current scientific literature with regard to the use of realist methodology in studies that evaluate complex nursing interventions.

There are dynamic interactions between (digital) technologies and society. Digital technologies have a (re-)structuring effect on social relationships and social innovations in a variety of ways. Because of these characteristics, technological innovations affect our individual lifestyles and living environments.
