Background/objectives: This study investigates the metabolic profile of a single dose of etodolac in healthy volunteers, focusing on pharmacokinetics, clinical parameters, and metabolomic variations to identify biomarkers and pathways linked to drug response, efficacy, and safety.
Methods: Thirty-seven healthy volunteers, enrolled after rigorous health assessments, received a single dose of etodolac (Flancox 500 mg). Pharmacokinetic profiles were determined using tandem mass spectrometry analysis, and the metabolomic profiling was conducted using baseline samples (pre-dose) and samples at maximum drug concentration (post-dose) via liquid chromatography coupled with a quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer.
Metabolomic analysis of the changes in plasma metabolites in obesity along with physical activity interaction may contribute to disease diagnosis and treatment. We sought to make a comprehensive assessment of the plasma metabolite profile of subjects with a lean ( = 20, BMI = 22.3) or overweight/obese ( = 29, BMI = 29) body mass index (BMI) and low ( = 33, IPAQ = 842) or high ( = 16, IPAQ = 6935) index of physical activity questionnaire (IPAQ), using an untargeted metabolomic approach.

Despite the incorporation of molecular classification and improvement of protocols combining chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy, CNS tumors are still the most lethal neoplasm in this age group. Mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) is a powerful tool to map the distribution of molecular species in tissue sections.

Knowledge of the brew composition is important to improve the therapeutic potential and decrease side effects if ayahuasca becomes an option for refractory depression treatment. Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry (UHPLC-HRMS) was applied to analyze 126 ayahuasca samples collected from different groups and geographic origins.

Method: Here, was used as an toxicity model, while breast cancer cells were used to evaluate the pharmacological benefits.
Annexin A1 (AnxA1) is an anti-inflammatory protein expressed in various cell types, especially macrophages and neutrophils. Because neutrophils play important roles in infections and inflammatory processes and the relationship between AnxA1 and Candida spp. infections is not well-understood, our study examined whether AnxA1 can serve as a target protein for the regulation of the immune response during fungal infections.
