We aimed to determine whether the cholinesterase inhibitor rivastigmine, an inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE), would improve quality of life and cognitive function in 16 clinically stable subjects affected by schizophrenia in the residual phase.
