Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to validate a retinal imaging software called VAMPIRE for use in cats, particularly focusing on hypertensive patients.
  • It involved 105 healthy cats for baseline data and 43 hypertensive cats without visible retinal issues to assess the software's clinical utility.
  • Results showed significant differences in arteriolar diameters and angles between healthy and hypertensive cats, suggesting that VAMPIRE could be a valuable tool for diagnosing hypertension-related retinal changes in feline patients.
