Background: Genitourinary health significantly affects the quality of life of men, particularly those in middle age. Recent studies have shown that more than half of the men aged over 40 years experience some degree of low urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) or erectile dysfunction (ED).
Objective: To assess the prevalence of ED and LUTS in middle-aged men and correlate this with quality of life data.
Objective: To identify, synthesize, and analyze the scientific knowledge produced regarding the implications of using clinical simulation for undergraduate nursing or medical students' motivation for learning.
Methods: The search for articles was conducted between July 28 and August 3, 2022, on the PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, and SciELO databases. The following was used for the search: P - undergraduate students attending Nursing or Medicine courses; C - motivation for learning, and C - skills and clinical simulation laboratory.

Background: Congenital Anomalies were responsible for 303,000 deaths in the neonatal period, according to the WHO, they are among the world's top 20 causes of morbidity and mortality. Expensive simulators demonstrate several diseases, but few are related to congenital anomalies. Methods: Data collection was carried out from January to March 2021 in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), Embase and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) databases.
Results: Of the 361 studies initially retrieved in the search, 32 articles published between 2010 and 2020 were selected because they were within our objective.
Schirmer strips and conjunctival swabs are used in ophthalmology for the collection of tears and fluids. One of the biggest challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic has been accurate diagnosis and, in some cases, ocular manifestations are among the first symptoms. In this context, this study aimed to collect evidence to support the use of Schirmer strips and conjunctival swabs as a method of sample collection for viral analysis.

Method: a descriptive and methodological study developed in four phases: in the first, a workshop was held, composed of experts, for the construction of the competence frameworks; in the second, the material was validated using the Snowball Technique and the Delphi Technique, in the third, content analysis and calculation of the Content Validation Index were conducted; and in the fourth phase, the Entrustable Professional Activities were built, validated in simulated workshops.
Results: the competence frameworks were built and validated, with a resulting CVI≥0.
Objective: to compare the effect of exposure to unpleasant odors in a simulated clinical environment on the emotions of undergraduate nursing students.
Method: quasi-experimental study. A total of 24 nursing students participated the study, divided into two groups, 12 in the intervention group with exposure to unpleasant odors, and 12 in the control group without exposure to unpleasant odors.
Objective: To evaluate the self-confidence of nurses in the care of critically ill patients, before and after a simulated intervention.
Method: A quasi-experimental study was carried out with 103 nurses who participated in a workshop on the care of critically ill patients in the first semester of 2016. A clinical simulation pedagogical instrument was used throughout the event, and self-confidence was assessed by the Portuguese version of the Self-confidence Scale (SCSvp).
Simulation-based assessment relies on instruments that measure knowledge acquisition, satisfaction, confidence, and the motivation of students. However, the emotional aspects of assessment have not yet been fully explored in the literature. This dimension can provide a deeper understanding of the experience of learning in clinical simulations.

Method: this is a descriptive and methodological study that took place in three phases: the first phase consisted in a literature review and a workshop involving seven experts for the creation of the competency frameworks; in the second phase, 15 experts selected through the Snowball Technique and Delphi Technique participated in the face and content validation, with analysis of the content of the suggestions and calculation of the Content Validation Index to assess the agreement on the representativeness of each item; in the third phase, 13 experts participated in the final agreement of the presented material.
Results: the majority of the experts were nurses, with graduation and professional experience in the theme of the study.
Objective: To identify the influence of social determinants of health on the life conditions of patients who use intermittent urinary catheters.
Method: This was a descriptive study conducted in a rehabilitation center with 243 neurogenic bladder patients who used clear intermittent urinary catheters. The study was carried out between March 2012 and October 2015, using interviews based on semi-structured instruments, and data analysis using descriptive statistics.

Telenursing is a promising strategy to make nursing care feasible in different health situations, mainly to help patients with chronic illnesses. The aim in this study was to test the feasibility (acceptability and usability) of a telenursing intervention in care delivery to patients using clean intermittent urinary catheterization. Method: Qualitative study through analysis of content of interviews with experts on the theme in order to develop the proposed script. Of the 24 invited experts, 12 specialists from educational institutions in Brazil and abroad participated in the study in compliance with the ethical precepts.
Objective: To validate a measurement instrument for clean intermittent self-catheterization for patients and health-caregivers.
Material And Methods: Methodological study of instrument validation performed at a Rehabilitation Center in a University hospital for patients submitted to clean intermittent self-catheterization and their health-caregivers. Following ethical criteria, data were collected during interview with nurse staff using a Likert question form containing 16 items with 5 points each: "no confidence"=1, "little confidence"=2, "confident"=3, "very confident"=4 and "completely confident"=5.
Background:: In health, ethics is an essential aspect of practice and care and guarantees a better quality of life for patients and their caregivers.
Objective:: To outline a conceptual analysis of quality of life and ethics, identifying attributes, contexts and magnitudes for health.
