Breast carcinoma is the most prevalent cancer among women globally. It has variable clinical courses depending on the stage and clinical-biological features. This case report describes a 56-year-old female with invasive breast cancer without estrogen or progesterone receptor expression, with apocrine differentiation, and with no germline variants in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes.

Background: Troponin changes over time have been suggested to allow for an early diagnosis of cardiac injury ensuing cancer chemotherapy; cancer patients with troponin elevation may benefit of therapy with enalapril. It is unknown whether a preventive treatment with enalapril may further increase the benefit.
Methods: The International CardioOncology Society-one trial (ICOS-ONE) was a controlled, open-label trial conducted in 21 Italian hospitals.
Background: Cancer patients are frequently admitted to hospital due to acute conditions or refractory symptoms. This occurs through the emergency departments and requires medical oncologists to take an active role. The use of acute-care hospital increases in the last months of life.
