Population data of 15 short tandem repeat loci of the AmpFlSTR® next generation multiplex (NGM)™ were obtained from a sample of 835 individuals. The loci are the ten short tandem repeats (STRs) in the SGM Plus® Kit plus the EDNAP- and ENSFI-recommended STRs D10S1248, D22S1045, D2S441, D1S1656, and D12S391. Allele frequency and other forensically relevant statistics data were generated for the NGM loci into five current country macroregions of Brazil (North, Northeast, Central West, Southeast, and South).

Natural killer (NK) cell function is largely modulated by growth factors and cytokines. In particular, interleukin (IL)-2, IL-12, and IL-15 have major effects on the proliferative and cytotoxic activities of NK cells against tumor and virus-infected cells. It is thought that the members of the protein kinase C (PKC) family of serine/threonine kinases play an important role in mediating the pleiotropic effects of cytokines on their target cells.

The AF10 gene encodes a putative transcription factor containing an N-terminal LAP/PHD zinc finger motif, a functional nuclear localization signal, an AT-hook domain, and a leucine zipper toward the C-terminus. AF10 is involved in 2 distinct chromosomal translocations associated with hematologic malignancy. The chimeric fusion proteins MLL/AF10 and CALM/AF10, resulting from the t(10;11)(p12;q23) and the t(10;11)(p12;q14), respectively, consistently retain the leucine zipper motif of AF10.
