Afamin's glycan abundance contributes to conformational and chemical inhomogeneity presenting great challenges for molecular structure determination. For the purpose of studying the structure of afamin, various forms of recombinantly expressed human afamin (rhAFM) with different glycosylation patterns were thus created.
