Sympathetic System in Wound Healing: Multistage Control in Normal and Diabetic Skin.

In this review, we discuss sympathetic regulation in normal and diabetic wound healing. Experimental denervation studies have confirmed that sympathetic nerve endings in skin have an important and complex role in wound healing. Vasoconstrictor neurons secrete norepinephrine (NE) and neuropeptide Y (NPY).

Nonsteroid anti-inflammatory therapy suppresses the development of proliferative vitreoretinopathy more effectively than a steroid one.

Purpose: This study proves the possibility of targeted use of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug lornoxicam to prevent the development of proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR). Triamcinolone acetonide (TA) was selected as a reference substance.

Methods: Wistar rats (N = 400) were used.
