Importance: Preterm infants are recommended to receive most vaccinations at the same postnatal age as term infants. Studies have inconsistently observed an increased risk for postvaccination apnea in preterm infants.
Objective: To compare the proportions of hospitalized preterm infants with apnea and other adverse events in the 48 hours after 2-month vaccinations vs after no vaccinations.
Introduction: Almost a quarter of patients with tuberculosis (TB) in Pakistan may also have diabetes, with an additional quarter in a pre-diabetic state. Diabetes is a risk factor for TB. When it co-occurs with TB, it leads to poorer outcomes for both conditions, considerably increasing the burden on individuals, families and the healthcare system.

Method: One hundred and ten children between the ages of 5 and 10 years participated in this study, which assessed both children's understanding of death and their fear of death. Parental attachment style was measured using parental self-report.
The increasing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) presents both opportunities and challenges for power networks. While EVs have the potential to reduce carbon emissions, accommodating their growing power demand requires careful planning to prevent overloading and mitigate environmental impacts. This paper introduces an integrated hosting capacity model to facilitate higher EV penetration while maintaining environmental standards.

Background: Neurolotic sequelae after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) can cause significant morbidity and mortality. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) imaging can show real-time high intensity transient signals (HITS), which reflect active microembolization. Although it is well known that intraprocedural microembolism occurs, it is not known if this embolic phenomenon continues in the postprocedural period.

Study Design: Cohort study of infants born <27 weeks' gestational age who underwent a RA challenge to determine BPD diagnosis at 36 weeks postmenstrual age.
Results: Of 1022 infants eligible for the RA challenge, 554 underwent testing and 223 passed.
Objective: Examine pathogen distribution, antibiotic resistance patterns, and hospital outcomes of infants with bacterial meningitis in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) in the US from 2013-2018.
Study Design: Infants were divided into 2 groups based on age at the time of meningitis: early-onset (0-3 days) and late-onset (>3 days). We compared demographics, clinical characteristics, epidemiology, hospital outcomes, distribution of organisms and resistance, and blood culture timing relative to cerebrospinal fluid culture.
Transmission expansion planning (TEP) is a vital process of ensuring power systems' reliable and efficient operation. The optimization of TEP is a complex challenge, necessitating the application of mathematical programming techniques and meta-heuristics. However, selecting the right optimization algorithm is crucial, as each algorithm has its strengths and limitations.

Although four different topologies of single-resistor damped double-tuned filters (DDTFs) have been studied before in the literature, the effectiveness of two different DR-DDTF configurations has not been examined. This work redresses this gap by demonstrating that via comprehensive simulations on two power systems, DR-DDTF provides better harmonic suppression and resonance mitigation than single-resistor alternatives.

Its impact extended beyond just physical health, as it inflicted severe damage and challenges to individuals' well-being, leading to a deterioration in mental health. The lived experiences of patients hold a paramount position to explore and understand their perception of care which can ultimately strengthen the health system's delivery domain.

To understand the relationship and impact of the parenting styles of mothers on the behavior and anxiety in the dental operatory of eight- to 12-year-old children. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 50 mother-child dyads. A short version of the Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire was used to assess parenting style, while the Modified Dental Anxiety Scale and Frankl's Behavior Rating Scale were used to assess dental anxiety and behavior.

Study Design: Cross-sectional analytical study. Place and Duration of the Study: Department of Physiology, Army Medical College, National University of Medical Sciences, Rawalpindi, Pakistan in collaboration with Armed Forces Institute of Ophthalmology, from 1st June 2022 to 31st January 2023.
Background: The silent epidemic of chronic illness has become a significant public health challenge worldwide. The prevention and management of these deadliest health conditions primarily require empowering the individual to make healthy choices every day, e.g.

Quercetin nanoparticles (QNPs) are a newly developed effective neuroprotectant. We aimed to investigate the potential protective and therapeutic effects of QNPs in Al induced toxicity in rat cerebellum.

Study Design: Cohort study of infants born between 34 and 36 weeks gestation between 1999 and 2018 without major congenital anomalies at Pediatrix Medical Group neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).
Results: 307,967 infants from 410 NICUs met inclusion criteria.
Objective: Patients reporting to emergency departments frequently use different ambulance services; therefore, the measurement of patient satisfaction is relevant to encouraging those services to meet patient expectations. The aim of this study was to determine the patients' satisfaction and utilization of different ambulance services at a tertiary health care hospital in Peshawar relating to prehospital services.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, from July 2019 to January 2020 using a consecutive sampling technique with a total sample size of 378.
Background: Previous studies have shown that women with atrial fibrillation (AF) have a higher incidence of recurrence and non-pulmonary vein (non-PV) triggers. However, there remains an incomplete understanding of the impact of gender on AF ablation strategies and outcomes.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of gender on AF ablation outcomes.
Objective: To assess household poverty, sanitation and hygiene practices, and food security in both urban and rural settlements of district Peshawar.
Methods: We conducted this cross-sectional study from March 2019 to October 2019 in the urban and rural households of Peshawar, KPK. Using stratified random sampling, 554 households (HH) having children and young adolescents of age 5-19 years, adult men > 19 - 62 years, and adult women >19 - 62 years were included in this study.
This study reports a potential approach for the valorization of glass waste (GW) that is mainly composed of amorphous silica to prepare lightweight foamed glass (FG). The preparation of FG was achieved by mixing sodium hydroxide with GW powder followed by sintering at a temperature of 800 °C. As-synthesized FG was characterized and applied as an effective adsorbent for the removal of hazardous organic water contaminants, in particular, methylene blue (MB) dye.
