Background: Deficient internal rotation after shoulder arthroplasty can inhibit specific essential activities of daily living that require behind-the-back arm positioning. Although postoperative internal rotation deficits occur, their impact on outcomes of total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) is not well established. Previous authors have validated the Single Assessment Numeric Evaluation (SANE) as a patient-reported assessment of acceptable outcomes of TSA.

Patients And Methods: CP-CML patients aged ≥16 years who had an attempt to discontinue TKI therapy till June 2022, were eligible.

Purpose: The impact of cancer-related diarrhea (CRD) on changes in cancer therapy remains poorly characterized despite its prevalence.
Methods: We performed a longitudinal observational study using IQVIA PharMetrics Plus claims data. Patients included adults with CRD identified by diagnosis codes or pharmacy claims and compared their outcomes to matched (1:1) patients without CRD.
Background: Optimal management of retroversion in anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty (aTSA) remains controversial, and limited attention has been directed to the impact of glenoid inclination. Prior biomechanical study suggests that residual glenoid inclination generates shear stresses that may lead to early glenoid loosening. Combined biplanar glenoid deformities may complicate anatomic glenoid reconstruction and affect outcomes.

Despite negative oncology surveillance imaging, serum marker monitoring, and a recent colonoscopy, the patient presented with new-onset melena and dysphagia, leading to further diagnostic evaluation. Endoscopic examination revealed an ulcerated duodenal mass, and a computer tomography (CT)-guided liver biopsy confirmed metastatic PCC.

The physiological function of PG biosynthesis has been extensively studied, but the importance of the more recently discovered PG-G synthetic pathway remains incompletely defined. This disparity is due in part to a lack of knowledge of the physiological conditions under which PG-G biosynthesis occurs.

CML has three stages: the chronic phase (CP), the accelerated phase (AP), and the blast crisis (BC). Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have revolutionized the treatment of CML.

The current approach is either splenectomy or image-guided percutaneous biopsy which carries notable procedure-associated morbidity and limited accuracy. We present a novel case of LCA successfully diagnosed with endoscopic ultrasound fine-needle aspiration biopsy (EUS-FNAB), demonstrating its potential to reduce the morbidity associated with traditional percutaneous biopsy methods.

Herein, we developed heparin (HEP) functionalized upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs)-based ratiometric nanosensor for the sensitive detection of 2,6-dichloro-4-nitroaniline (DCN) pesticide via inner filter effect. The strategy for HEP functionalization of UCNPs is based on adjusting the surface potentials of UCNPs with polyanionic HEP through the electrostatic interaction.

This study aimed to understand the incidence of and risk factors for reoperation following TEA at a high-volume center utilizing an implant with a convertible linkage and the potential for anatomic lateral column reconstruction.
Methods: All patients undergoing primary TEA with the Latitude prosthesis (Stryker) from July 2001 to May 2020 were identified.
Introduction: Reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) with structural bone graft has been described as a technique in addressing glenoid bony defects. Studies have demonstrated acceptable outcomes with structural autograft or allograft. However, most of these studies are relatively small and rarely evaluate bone graft incorporation with CT scan.

Methods: This systematic review was conducted in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Online databases, including Ovid Medline 1946-, Embase.
The present article describes the muscle relaxant and antipyretic effects of pentacyclic triterpenes, oleanolic acid (), ursolic acid () and betulinic acid () isolated from roots of in animal models. The muscle relaxant effects of isolated pentacyclic triterpenes were determined by chimney and inclined plane tests. In the chimney test, pretreatment of pentacyclic triterpenes evoked significant dose dependent influence on muscle coordination.

Proteinuria is a manifestation of sickle cell anemia (SCA)-related renal disease and is a risk factor of renal impairment. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors have benefits, but their role in SCA remains undefined. This study aimed to assess the role of lisinopril, an ACE inhibitor, in reducing proteinuria in SCA patients.

However, it is relatively unknown how best to implement VR into an already established orthopaedic resident education curriculum and how trainees will engage and use these technologies longitudinally.
Methods: This was an exploratory, qualitative research study performed in accordance with Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research guidelines.
Background: Descriptions of glenoid deformities in glenohumeral osteoarthritis (GHOA) have focused on the axial plane. Less is known regarding arthritic glenoids with higher amounts of superior inclination and little evidence exists to guide management of inclination or combined version-inclination deformity when performing anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty (aTSA). We hypothesized that biplanar deformities (BD) would be present in a higher proportion of GHOA patients than previously appreciated, and these deformities would be difficult to adequately reconstruct with contemporary aTSA implants.
