The aim was to evaluate the prevalence of utilization of prenatal oral health services and its associated factors, through data from Cycle I (2011-12) and II (2013-14) of PMAQ-AB. Objective: To describe primary health care provided to women in Haiti and evaluate equity in the care provided to this group.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 114 women receiving primary health care services in the country's 10 health departments were interviewed. Two groups of indicators were used for analysis of equity: access indicators (walking time to reach services, waiting time, and need to pay for the service) and quality (knowing the name of the healthcare provider, length of the consultation, and discrimination).

This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the association between sociodemographic characteristics, health care indicators, work process characteristics, and the performance of preventive dental procedures by oral health care teams (OHCTs) assessed during the first phase of the PMAQ in Brazil. A census of 10 334 primary OHCTs was conducted. The outcome included topical application of fluoride, application of sealants, detection of oral lesions, and monitoring of suspected or confirmed cases of oral cancer.

Objectives To identify socioeconomic and regional inequalities of pap smear coverage in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Methods An ecological study based on data of the 2011-2012 national health information system to estimate the annual coverage of pap smears for the overall female population of the state and for women without private health insurance. The article outlines the development and initial validation of a Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) including five social determinants of risk to health and demonstrates its application in the financing of primary care by the Unified Health System (SUS) in the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Municipal indicators of vulnerability relating to poverty and population dispersion were obtained from the 2010 population census of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. Both exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis suggests that the five items can constitute a reliable and acceptable measurement scale.

This poster focuses on two digital learning objects which use hypertext, animations and video. The digital learning objects for Obesity and Dyslipidemia are being evaluated through a research project implemented by the undergraduate nursing students at The Federal University do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). The project "Digital Learning Objects: Obesity and Dyslipidemia" is designed to subsidize the questions about non-communicable chronic diseases in the academic and professional routine in primary health care.

The global trend of ageing populations is present in Brazil. Brazilian society is going through an intensive process of transformation, where young adults are increasingly fewer, thus raising the question of who will take care of the elderly in the 21st Century? There is an urgent need to establish care networks for the elderly, covering primary care, including care with housing (Healthy Housing), as well as to ensure access to secondary and tertiary levels of care, providing early diagnoses and rapid access to treatment. This article reports two Brazilian experiences: the restructuring of a shelter for elderly indigents, with 500 elderly residents in Rio de Janeiro, which involved a broad process of humanization, with strong physical restructuring of the buildings that dated from 1930; and the process of organizing the care referral line for the elderly within the Conceição Hospital Group, in Rio Grande do Sul State, which included a health care complex with diverse health units, encompassing all stages of care: from primary care to the most complex hospital treatment.
