We evaluated the quality of telephone triage and the appropriateness of the decisions resulting from it at a primary care out-of-hours service. Four simulated clinical cases were used in the Incognito Standardized Patient method: an adult with nosebleed, an adult with fever, a child with fever and a child with vomiting. There was a set of obligatory questions for each case, translated from those used in a previous study.
