In vivo study of the behavior of glass ionomer restorations in patients with special needs.

Background: Glass ionomers may be a good alternative to composite resin restorations in special needs patients with challenging behaviours. The present study was carried out to evaluate the restorative efficacy of glass ionomer in the occlusal cavities of permanent molars among patients with special needs after one year of follow-up.

Material And Methods: A randomized split-mouth study was made of a cohort of patients with special needs.

We present an angular analysis of the B^{+}→K^{*+}(→K_{S}^{0}π^{+})μ^{+}μ^{-} decay using 9  fb^{-1} of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. For the first time, the full set of CP-averaged angular observables is measured in intervals of the dimuon invariant mass squared. Local deviations from standard model predictions are observed, similar to those in previous LHCb analyses of the isospin-partner B^{0}→K^{*0}μ^{+}μ^{-} decay.

Background: Pyruvate kinase deficiency (PKD) is a rare recessive congenital hemolytic anemia caused by mutations in the PKLR gene. The disease shows a marked variability in clinical expression. Introduction: Older people with complex, chronic conditions often receive insufficient or inefficient care provision, and few instruments are able to measure their perception of care provision. The "User Reported Measure of Care Coordination" instrument has been satisfactorily used to evaluate chronic care provision and integration. The aim of this study is to validate this instrument in Spanish.

Effectiveness of chemotherapy in advanced differentiated thyroid cancer: a systematic review.

In differentiated thyroid carcinoma refractory to radioactive iodine (CDT-RTI), chemotherapy has been considered for decades to be the only systemic therapy with palliative purpose. Phase II studies assessing the efficacy of different chemotherapy outlines have been published. Nevertheless, phase III studies in these tumours have not been performed.

Comparative characterization of a novel cad-cam polymer-infiltrated-ceramic-network.

A 67-year-old male presented with left kidney stones in renal pelvis, 15 mm length. Preoperative CT showed massive splenomegaly. Retrograde intrarenal surgery approach was decided to avoid splenic injury, achieving the absence of residual stones.

[Neoadjuvant treatment with cisplatin, 5-FU and folinic acid in advanced head and neck cancer].

From May to February 1992, 32 patients diagnosed as advanced cancer of the head and neck were included in a program of neoadjuvant treatment with cisplatin, 5-FU, and folinic acid, followed by radiotherapy (45 at 70 Gy) and/or surgery. Twenty patients were considered fully evaluable; their global response rate was 75% (7 complete responses and 8 partial responses). Five patients had no appreciable response or progression.
