Background: Aortic aneurysms, particularly those affecting the ascending aorta, pose significant health risks due to their potential to cause life-threatening complications such as rupture and dissection. While the etiology of ascending aortic aneurysms has traditionally been associated with non-inflammatory processes, emerging evidence suggests a potential role of inflammation in their development.
Methods: This study investigates the relationship between inflammatory markers and ascending aortic aneurysms, focusing on high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and the monocyte-to-HDL ratio (MHR).
Background And Purpose: As treatment increasingly shifts from hospital settings to home environments, the burden on caregivers of chronic kidney disease patients has the potential to increase further. It is essential to assess the experience and burdens of caregivers of children with chronic kidney disease to identify caregivers' needs and provide targeted interventions when necessary. Hence, this study aimed to assess the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the Pediatric Renal Caregiver Burden Scale (PR-CBS).

Nevertheless, objective assessment can be constrained by age, gender, and variability in the test conditions. Portable (home) uroflowmetry addresses these limitations, allowing for more natural urinary flow recordings beyond clinic confines.

This study explored the link between urinary incontinence, osteoarthritis, and back musculoskeletal system disorders, considering pain, mobility issues, and daily activity difficulties. : This cross-sectional study included respondents aged ≥ 15 years from the 2008 Turkish Health Studies Survey (n = 13,976).

Methods: This retrospective observational multicenter study included patients from 17 pediatric endocrinology centers identified by "National Newborn Screening Program" (NNSP) who were born in 2015 and followed for 6 years. Demographic, clinical, and laboratory information of the cases were compiled through the database http://cedd.
In this research, the total phenolic and flavonoid amounts, phenolic compositions, in vitro antioxidant, antibacterial and antidiabetic properties of the methanol extracts obtained from Scabiosa L. (Caprifoliaceae) species distributed in the flora of Türkiye were investigated using chemometric methods. For this purpose, principal component (PCA) and agglomerative hierarchical clustering analysis were performed as chemometric methods.

This study focuses on the outcomes and recurrence causes in 130 cases of lumbar disc herniations. These cases were managed by a single surgeon at a single center, offering a unique perspective on a common issue in neurosurgery.

The majority of natural antioxidants available on the consumer market are plant-based; however, fungi are being recognized as alternative sources of various natural antioxidants such as polysaccharides, pigments, peptides, sterols, phenolics, alkaloids, and flavonoids. In addition, some exogenous antioxidants are exclusively found in fungi.

This retrospective study from a single center in Turkey aimed to evaluate midlinelumbar discectomy in 20 patients with far lateral lumbar disc herniation. MATERIAL AND METHODS We collected clinical data of 20 patients (11 men, 9 women) operated for FLDDH between January 2006 and January 2022.

However, this association has not been studied in men. Utilizing data from the 2008 Turkish Health Studies Survey conducted by the Turkish Statistical Institute, we analyzed 13,830 participants aged 15 years and above.

Methods: This is a multicenter retrospective study on consecutive patients who underwent TSS. Patients were categorized in high- or low-risk testicular germ cell tumor (TGCT) according to the presence/absence of features compatible with testicular dysgenesis syndrome.
In this study, a new phthalonitrile derivative namely 4-[(2,4-difluorophenyl)ethynyl]phthalonitrile (1) and its metal phthalocyanines (2 and 3) were synthesized. The resultant compounds were conjugated to silver nanoparticles and characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images. The biological properties of compounds (1-3), their nanoconjugates (4-6), and silver nanoparticles (7) were examined for the first time in this study.

Objective: Cerebrovascular diseases (CVDs) remain an important public health issue due to the increasing number of deaths worldwide. Changes in the synthesis and release of peptides in CVDs may play an important role in elucidating the physiopathology of the disease. Therefore, this study was to investigate the fate of maresin-1 (MaR-1), subfatin (SUB), asprosin (ASP), and alamandine (ALA) levels in patients with cerebral infarction (CI), intracranial hemorrhage (ICH), subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) evaluated within the scope of CVDs, and voluntary healthy controls.

Because research in recent years have demonstrated that saffron and its components are useful in ischemic strokes, the goal of this study was to see whether Crocin (Cr), one of the active constituents in saffron, could protect the gastrocnemius muscle from IR injury. A total number of 32 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into four groups randomly: control, Cr, IR, and IR + Cr.

The survey included a personal information form, a standard job stress scale, and the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire. The levels of job stress and job satisfaction did not differ between male and female respondents.

Peptones are one of the most expensive components of microbial culture media. The present study was conducted to test the usability of low-cost sheep wool peptone (SWP) as an organic nitrogen source in the production of six industrially important enzymes (lipase, amylase, tannase, pectinase, cellulase and invertase). SWP was prepared by alkaline hydrolysis and acid neutralization.

Objective: As the number of mobile health applications increases, quality assessment becomes a capital feature of any mobile application design. Besides the professional evaluation conducted before marketing the app, the perceptions of the subjects to whom is intended will determine the successful widespread dis- semination. Hence, the implementation of a given app may be impaired by the lack of a validated transla- tion and cross-cultural adaptation.
