Background: Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) predominantly affects males across all ages; however, little is known about sex differences for other aspects of EoE.
Objective: To investigate associations between sex and clinical presentation, endoscopic features, treatment choice and response in EoE patients in real-world practice.
Methods: Cross-sectional analysis of the multicenter EoE CONNECT registry.

- A study reviews 9 patients (44.4% women, average age 67.7 years) who underwent diverticular peroral endoscopic myotomy (D-POEM) for symptomatic epiphrenic diverticula between July 2020 and April 2024.
- Most patients experienced symptoms like dysphagia and regurgitation, with an average Eckardt Score of 6, indicating severe symptoms.
- Notably, 88.9% of the patients also had a co-existing esophageal motility disorder, and one patient had prior surgical treatment for their condition.
