Aims: This study reports the prevalence and characteristics related to the development of thyroid autoimmunity among children newly diagnosed with type I diabetes (T1D) during the COVID-19 pandemic in Kuwait.
Materials And Methods: This is a prospective observational study of all children under age 14 years newly diagnosed with T1D in Kuwait. We define the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic from the official declaration of the first identified positive COVID-19 case on 24 February 2020 until 31 December 2022.
Introduction: To assess progress against cancer, trends in incidence, survival and mortality need to be interpreted simultaneously.
Methods: Data were obtained from the Kuwait Cancer Registry (KCR) for all Kuwaiti children (0-14 years) and adults (15-99 years) diagnosed with one of 18 common cancers during 2000-2013, with follow-up for vital status to 31 December 2015. World-standardised average annual incidence and mortality rates were calculated for 2000-2004, 2005-2009, 2010-2013.
Jogging trails have been constructed in residential areas in Kuwait City to encourage people to exercise in outdoor spaces. The weather is hot and arid for most of the year. To create a comfortable and healthy local microclimate condition, trails were constructed along a certain direction with respect to the direction of the main prevailing wind and shaded with trees.

This study aimed to analyze the dynamic profile of SARS-CoV-2 infection among hospitalized patients that would characterize the period of viral shedding and detection among patients.

Materials And Methods: Patients underwent a course of orthodontic treatment using either fixed labial appliances or clear aligners (Invisalign). Mandibular incisor proclination was measured by comparing pretreatment and near-end treatment lateral cephalograms.
Clear aligner technology has evolved over the last 15 years, with these appliances continually being modified to increase the range of tooth movements that they can achieve. However, there is very little clinical research available to show how these appliances achieve their results. This article describes the different generations of clear aligners that are available and highlights their use.
