A novel approach for treatment of the impacted maxillary incisor.

This case report demonstrates a novel treatment approach to deal with a severely rotated and impacted upper central incisor in an adolescent patient. A precision custom-made gold attachment was fabricated from a prototype using cone beam computerized tomograph (CBCT) scan data and then used to align and de-rotate the impacted central incisor.

Coronectomy for infraoccluded lower first permanent molars: a report of two cases.

Two cases of infraoccluded lower first permanent molars were treated at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School with a joint orthodontic and surgical approach. Coronectomy, a technique usually reserved for deeply impacted lower third molars, was carried out in both cases; these are discussed.
