Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibodies have been identified in central nervous system inflammatory demyelinating disorders (MOG antibody disease), inclusive of optic neuritis, transverse myelitis, or acute disseminated encephalomyelitis. The association of MOG antibodies with combined central and peripheral demyelination (CCPD) is not clear. It has been reported in a few cases where MOG antibodies were detected in the serum of patients with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy.

Little is known about this entity, and most data are obtained from case reports. We report a case of a woman in her 60s who presented with a 2-week history of generalised weakness, fatigue and shivering, with severe loss of appetite on background history of dyspepsia and significant weight loss for the preceding 2 years.
