Objective: To analyze the effects of an educational intervention in the light of the Meaningful Learning Theory on the knowledge and attitude of Primary Health Care physicians and nurses in the assessment of the degree of physical disability in leprosy.
Method: An intervention study of the before-and-after type, conducted with 122 professionals (84 nurses and 38 physicians) from the Primary Health Care of João Pessoa, Paraíba, in a training course on the assessment of the degree of physical disability in leprosy. The data were collected with the research's own instrument validated and analyzed by the chi-square adherence and proportion test, with a 5% significance level.

Objectives: Validating an instrument to assess nurse knowledge related to preventing and treating individuals with venous ulcer (VU).
Methods: This is an exploratory study, conducted with 78 primary health care nurses. These professionals answered the questionnaire with twelve items pertaining to knowing and doing while addressing the person with VU.
Evolution and cost of three types of compression therapy (single layer, multilayer and Unna boot) in patients with venous ulceration were compared. The evaluation lasted two months and used photographic records and instrument based on pressure ulcer scale for healing (PUSH). Treatment with monolayer compression therapy presented the lowest cost and more efficacy of the three types, with 82% savings compared with the multilayer therapy.

Method: this is an integrative review conducted in the databases MEDLINE, LILACS, SciELO, BDENF and CINAHL with studies addressing the subject or aspects of the theory of meaningful learning of David Ausubel. Ten studies were included, from which six were written in Portuguese and four in English, published from 1998 to 2013.
This study aimed to describe the family experience in the care of the child who got burnt. An exploratory study was conducted in a hospital emergency room in the city of João Pessoa - PB, with ten companions of hospitalized burnt children. The results showed that the thermal agents were the biggest cause of children's burns.
