Characteristics of Hepatocellular Carcinoma by Sex in Mexico: A Multi-Institutional Collaboration.

Liver cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. In Mexico, there is a high burden of liver cancer mortality in rural states, affecting both women and men equally. Thus, we aimed to describe the demographic and clinical characteristics of hepatocellular cancer (HCC) by sex in Mexico.

Wire-guided localization and surgical resection of non-palpable recurrent of thyroid carcinoma: A STROBE-compliant, retrospective cohort study.

Background: Information on hook-wire guided (HWG) surgery for non-palpable thyroid carcinoma (TC), locoregional-recurrent disease (LRRD) is scarce. We analyze the results of HWG resection compared with the traditional procedure.

Methods: Cohort study performed between January 2016 and December 2020.

Non-sebaceous Lymphadenoma of the Parotid Gland Mimicking a Pleomorphic Adenoma.

Non-sebaceous lymphadenoma of the salivary glands is a rare benign lesion, first described in 1991. We present the case of a 54-year-old woman, with a right parotid mass. She underwent right superficial parotidectomy, and histopathology reported a non-sebaceous lymphadenoma due to an encapsulated lesion and multiple non-atypical epithelial inclusions without sebaceous differentiation.

Experience of the hernia and wall department in the management of abdominal wall endometriosis for 9 years.

Background: Abdominal wall endometriosis is a rare pathological entity. It presents as a tumor with pain, erythema, which worsens with Valsalva maneuvers.

Objective: To show the experience and results in the management of the department of hernias and abdominal wall in a hospital of second level and to present review of the literature.
