Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and a leading cause of cancer-related mortality in men. The diagnosis and treatment of PCa carry considerable medical, psychological, and economic implications. Among the risk factors contributing to cancer, viral infections, notably Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), play a significant role.

In Silico Identification and Characterization of Fatty Acid Desaturase () Genes in L. Skeels: Implications for Oil Quality and Abiotic Stress.

Fatty acid desaturase () is the key enzyme that leads to the formation of unsaturated fatty acids by introducing double bonds into hydrocarbon chains, and it plays a critical role in plant lipid metabolism. However, no data are available on enzyme-associated genes in argan trees. In addition, a candidate gene approach was adopted to identify and characterize the gene sequences of interest that are potentially involved in oil quality and abiotic stress.

Germline mutations of B-Raf proto-oncogene and pathological implications in prostate cancer: observational study.

Unlabelled: B-Raf proto-oncogene has been found in a variety of neoplasms. BRAF stimulation can promote tumour proliferation through the activation of the MAP/ERK kinase pathway. This study aimed to determine the germline spectra of BRAF and the association with pathological criteria of prostate tumours.

Thrombosis of the deep dorsal vein of the penis caused by vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia: First reported case.

The first described case of deep dorsal vein thrombosis of the penis secondary to vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT), a complication of COVID adenoviral vector vaccines. The patient reported pain in the penis one month after vaccination. On ultrasound, a deep dorsal vein thrombosis was found and a biological workup was ordered to confirm the VITT trail.

Wunderlich syndrome: Rare and unrecognized emergency.

A real life-threatening emergency, Wunderlich syndrome (WS) is an interesting and unknown clinical condition characterised by intense beginning of spontaneous, non-traumatic renal haemorrhage in the sub-capsular and perirenal space, with a typical clinical and radiological presentation [1] that allow the diagnosis. Although most cases are treated invasively either by surgery or embolization to control the bleeding, Fortunately our 66 year old patient admitted to the Mohammed V military hospital in Rabat benefited from a conservative treatment, which allowed him to avoid all the associated complications and to be discharged from hospital in less than 4 days.

Correlation genotype-phenotype: gene mutations and Moroccan patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Introduction: rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a systemic autoimmune disease primarily affecting the joints. Arthritic disorders are associated with mutations of the Mediterranean fever (MEFV) gene. Xantogranulomatous pyelonephritis: The missed diagnosis.

Introduction: Xantogranulomatous pyelonephritis (XGPN) is a rare chronic inflammatory disease of the kidney that can be focal or diffuse with the focal form imitating greatly renal cell carcinoma (RCC).

Presentation Of Case: We report a challenging clinical case of a 38-year old male with right flank pain persisting for 3-months, imaging showed an 8cm heterogenous mass of the upper pole of the right kidney and invading the liver. A right radical nephrectomy including the adrenal in the resection was performed under the tentative diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) whereas histology revealed focal XGPN.

Acoustic assessment of erygmophonic speech of Moroccan laryngectomized patients.

Introduction: Acoustic evaluation of alaryngeal voices is among the most prominent issues in speech analysis field. In fact, many methods have been developed to date to substitute the classic perceptual evaluation. The Aim of this study is to present our experience in erygmophonic speech objective assessment and to discuss the most widely used methods of acoustic speech appraisal.

Chiral ligands derived from monoterpenes: application in the synthesis of optically pure secondary alcohols via asymmetric catalysis.

The preparation of optically pure secondary alcohols in the presence of catalysts based on chiral ligands derived from monoterpenes, such as pinenes, limonenes and carenes, is reviewed. A wide variety of these ligands has been synthesized and used in several catalytic reactions, including hydrogen transfer, C-C bond formation via addition of organozinc compounds to aldehydes, hydrosilylation, and oxazaborolidine reduction, leading to high activities and enantioselectivities.
