Objectives: To explore the implementation of a provincial virtual paediatric consulting service, Child Health Advice in Real-Time Electronically (CHARLiE), integrated into the paediatric on-call schedule in Northwestern British Columbia.
Methods: Healthcare providers in Northwestern British Columbia responded to a survey (n = 72) and participated in focus groups (n = 35) and key informant interviews (n = 4) to share their experiences engaging in a healthcare model that incorporated virtual paediatric consultants in lieu of in-person local paediatrician coverage over a 28-month period. Survey data was analyzed using descriptive statistics.

Objectives: To evaluate quality of life (QoL) in a large cohort of pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and to identify the clinical factors that influence QoL.
Study Design: This cross-sectional study analyzes a quality improvement initiative in 351 pediatric patients with IBD in British Columbia, Canada using the self-reported Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL) 4.0 generic scale.
Aims: Wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) and magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) are increasingly utilized to evaluate the small bowel (SB) in Crohn's disease (CD). The primary aims were to compare the ability of WCE and MRE to detect SB inflammation in children with newly diagnosed CD, and in the terminal ileum (TI) to compare them to ileo-colonoscopy. Secondary aims were to compare diagnostic accuracy of WCE and MRE and changes in Paris classification after each study.

In addition to immunomodulatory and neurotrophic properties, mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) possess pericytic characteristics. These features make MSCs an ideal candidate for acute cell therapy targeting vascular disruption, which could reduce the severity of secondary injury, enhance tissue preservation and repair, and ultimately promote functional recovery.

Methods: In this prospective longitudinal cohort study, children with CD on infliximab therapy in clinical remission were included.
