Background: Anxiety disorders are the second most common mental health disorders in terms of disability-adjusted life years and years of life lost across all age groups. A bidirectional relationship between anxiety disorders and diabetes mellitus has been documented. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of anxiety and its associated factors among patients with diabetes receiving care at public primary care clinics in Kuwait during the first quarter of 2024.

Background/objective: To describe the ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) diagnostic features in patients suspected of experiencing chronic inflammation due to phacoantigenic uveitis SUBJECTS/METHODS: This single-center study enrolled patients referred to the Uveitis Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi for chronic anterior uveitis and traumatic cataract. Patients' demographics, causes and dates of the inciting traumatic event, and ophthalmic findings were recorded. 20-MHz UBM assessment of the status of the anterior capsule and the crystalline lens was performed.

Background: Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire (PSQ) is a valid, reliable tool for screening for sleep-related breathing disorders (SRBDs) translated into several languages since 2000. The diagnostic accuracy of an Arabic version of the PSQ has never been tested. Our aim was to translate the original version of PSQ into Arabic (Arabic-PSQ), validate it as a reliable screening tool, and compare it to the gold standard diagnostic method for SRBDs.

Materials And Methods: Panoramic radiographs were examined retrospectively for patients who attended dental clinics at King Abdulaziz Medical City and the College of Dentistry at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The sampling frame for the orthodontic population included digital records of 2998 patients randomly selected from an original 8000 patients treated from 2016 to 2022 in the orthodontic clinic. For the general population, 3002 patients were randomly selected from an original 15000 patients treated at the dental college from 2016 to 2022.

Pattern and Frequency of Nosocomial Infections in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at East Jeddah General Hospital, Saudi Arabia.

Focal Posterior Herpetic Retinitis.

Despite having 20/20 vision, a 17-year-old Emirati female presented with central visual changes in her left eye. These changes were attributed to a dull foveal reflex with pigmentary alterations. Retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) mottling at the macula level, attenuating the ellipsoid zone, and a hyper-reflective line connecting the RPE to the outer nuclear layer was observed through spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) of the left eye.

Background:  Obviously, hyperglycemia and insulin resistance (IR) are common in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Additionally, IR is a substantial risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. The study aims to evaluate the association between IR and short-term outcomes of acute STEMI patients without diabetes mellitus in the form of reperfusion success, the occurrence of heart failure, the development of arrhythmias, and mortality.
