Background: Anesthesiologists prefer using general anesthesia (GA) in Parkinson's disease (PD). However, GA may mask neurological symptoms in the intraoperative period and exacerbate them postoperatively. Furthermore, the anesthetics used in GA have clear interactions with the drugs used to control PD.
