Objectives: Cancer drug resistance is a multifaceted phenomenon. The present review article aims to comprehensively analyze the cellular and molecular aspects of drug resistance in cancer and the strategies employed to overcome it.

Evidence Acquisition: A systematic search of relevant literature was conducted using electronic databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science using appropriate key words.

The Effect and Implication of Social Media Platforms on Plastic Cosmetic Surgery: A Cross-sectional Study in Saudi Arabia From 2021 to 2022.

Background: Aesthetic procedures are considered one of the most commonly performed procedures in the medical field. Social media (SM) reflects the electronic platforms that deliver an enormous amount of information to different users and enable them to share their content and experience with others at the simple click of a button. In our modern era, SM platforms affect different angles of our lives, from a simple detail to a significant complex aspect.

Fractional boundary element solution of three-temperature thermoelectric problems.

The primary goal of this article is to propose a new fractional boundary element technique for solving nonlinear three-temperature (3 T) thermoelectric problems. Analytical solution of the current problem is extremely difficult to obtain. To overcome this difficulty, a new numerical technique must be developed to solve such problem.

Sarcoidosis in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia.

Aim: To review a general hospital's experience with sarcoidosis and the clinical pattern of the disease among Saudis.

Methods: A retrospective file review was carried out on all patients with a proven diagnosis of sarcoidosis in a general hospital in Eastern Saudi Arabia over a period of 11 years (1998-2008).

Results: Sixty-nine patients, of whom 33 cases were included in the analyses, were diagnosed to have sarcoidosis during the study period.

Vacuum-assisted closure as a surgical assistant in life-threatening necrotizing fasciitis in children.

Necrotizing fasciitis is a severe soft tissue infection that can involve skin, subcutaneous fat, fascia and muscle. It can result in devastating sequelae including tissue necrosis, sepsis, toxic shock syndrome, cardiopulmonary collapse and death. To control rapidly spreading necrosis, early diagnosis and aggressive surgical treatment with extensive radical debridement of the affected areas is necessary, as well as systemic administration of broad-spectrum antimicrobials and, very often, intensive care support.

Magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis of glomus tumours of the hand.

This paper studies the sensitivity, specificity and predictive values of MRI in the diagnosis of glomus tumours of the hand and investigates the final diagnosis and outcome in cases with false positive or negative imaging tests. A total of 42 cases with the clinical diagnosis of a glomus tumour were included in the study. All patients underwent MRI and the results of MRI were correlated with the final histological diagnosis of the excised lesion.
