Background: Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication requiring early detection to improve outcomes. Profilin-1 (PFN1), linked to vascular dysfunction, may serve as a biomarker for diagnosing preeclampsia and predicting adverse neonatal outcomes. The aim of this study was to determine the serum Profilin-1 levels in patients diagnosed with preeclampsia and to investigate its association with disease severity and adverse neonatal outcomes.

Objective: To compare overall survival (OS) and morbidity outcomes in patients with advanced epithelial ovarian/tubal/peritoneal cancer undergoing standard-radical (SR) and ultra-radical (UR) surgical procedures based on NICE classification.

Study Design: This retrospective study analyzed data from 282 patients with 2014 FIGO stage III-IV epithelial ovarian cancer operated on between January 2006 and January 2019. The study compared OS, progression-free survival (PFS), and morbidity between SR and UR surgeries.

In this study, we propose a self-limiting growth model forspores confined within porous polyacrylamide (PA) hydrogels. We observed thatspores germinate into vegetative cells within the hydrogel matrix, forming spherical colonies. These colonies expand until the mechanical stress they exert on their environment surpasses the yield stress of the hydrogel, leading to formation of a nonpermeable layer that halts nutrient diffusion and forces the bacteria to resporulate.

Introduction: This study examined emergency physicians across the country in terms of Impostor Phenomenon (IP) and Burnout Syndrome (BoS). We aimed to evaluate the possible relationship between IP and BoS and determine which demographic characteristics pose a risk for IP and BoS.

: There is a lack of information regarding the effective duration of treatment necessary to prevent the development of acquired resistance when fluoroquinolones (FQ), and/or pyrazinamide (Z) resistance has occurred in patients with polydrug-resistant tuberculosis and isoniazid resistance. The management of these kinds of patients should be carried out in experienced centers according to drug susceptibility test results, clinical status of the patient and the extensity of the disease. : We evaluated treatment regimens, treatment outcomes, and drug adverse effects in seven patients with polydrug-resistant tuberculosis, including those with Z and/or FQ resistance in a retrospective analysis : Regarding the patients with polydrug-resistant tuberculosis in addition to isoniazid (H) resistance, three had Z, two had FQ, and the remaining two had both Z and FQ resistance.

Introduction: Both laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) and duodenojejunal bypass liner (DJBL) have been shown to induce weight loss and dramatically ameliorate type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Since DJBL implantation causes nutrients to pass through the duodenum without contact with the digestive juices and the duodenal mucosa, its mechanisms have been suggested to mimic those of RYGB.
