Background: The lipoprotein particle number (PN) profile may be a better marker of cardiovascular risks than standard serum lipid measurements. The aim of this study was to analyze the lipoprotein PNs in Japanese children with abdominal obesity and to determine the subclass profile.

We evaluated choroidal congestion using multimodal imaging in pachychoroid neovasculopathy (PNV). In a retrospective case series of 100 eyes of 99 treatment-naïve PNV patients, their clinical records were reviewed and the corresponding multimodal imaging studies were analyzed. We assessed areas of choriocapillaris filling delay which overlapped with dilated outer choroidal vessels, choroidal neovascularization (CNV), and retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) atrophy.

The enzymatic activity of inositol hexakisphosphate kinase controls circulating phosphate in mammals.

Circulating phosphate levels are tightly controlled within a narrow range in mammals. By using a novel small-molecule inhibitor, we show that the enzymatic activity of inositol hexakisphosphate kinases (IP6K) is essential for phosphate regulation in vivo. IP6K inhibition suppressed XPR1, a phosphate exporter, thereby decreasing cellular phosphate export, which resulted in increased intracellular ATP levels.

Methods: This retrospective study included 51 eyes of 50 patients who underwent swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) during their initial visit and throughout their clinical course between March 2013 and February 2020.

Main Outcomes And Measures: This study focused on four choroidal measures: comparison of central choroidal thickness (CCT) between the injured and contralateral eyes immediately after injury, changes in the CCT, ratio of choroidal luminal and stromal properties in the injured eye during the clinical course and change in the suprachoroidal structure of the injured eye.
