Phosphorus (P) runoff from untreated wastewater and agricultural runoff has become an issue of concern because excessive P is detrimental to the health of water bodies and aquatic organisms such as fishes. Hence, different methods are being developed to salvage this challenge. However, most of the methods are expensive, while some are unsustainable.

Hydrothermal carbonization of alfalfa is a potential way to reuse agricultural waste. However, the effects of hydrothermal conditions on the properties of alfalfa-derived hydrochar are not clear. Herein, this study investigated the impact of different synthesis conditions (e.

According to Fourier transform infra-red analysis, after phosphorylation of the SCG (PSCG), P = O group, P-O-C (aromatic) bond, P = OOH and P-O-P were newly introduced on the surface of the adsorbent, and the peaks of carboxyl groups and OH-group were large and broad. In addition, the surface area and mesopore range of the PSCG adsorbent were increased, and the structure changed, which enabled easy adsorption of MB.

In this research, the acute toxicity of MBP on energy metabolism in zebrafish gills was studied. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results show that 10 mg L MBP can induce mitochondrial structural damage of chloride cells after 96 h of continuous exposure.

In order to efficiently remove commonly used herbicide atrazine in farmland, an iron-modified biochar (FeMBC) was fabricated via chemical co-precipitation of Fe onto corn stalks biochar. The composites of FeMBC and Acinetobacter lwoffii DNS32 (bFeMBC) effectively accelerated the degradation rate of atrazine (100 mg L) in inorganic salt culture solution. TEM,XRD,XPS and FTIR were used to study the basic properties of the Materials.

Background: The success of surgery in infants with hepatobiliary disease is inversely proportional to the age when surgery was performed. Pale stool colour is a major indicator of biliary obstruction. However, simple recognition has been inadequate, resulting in late diagnosis and referral.
