Purpose: To evaluate the effect of depth and location of femoral osteoplasty or the use of remplissage on the suction seal in a sheep hip model.
Methods: The hips of 32 twelve-month-old sheep were used as a cam-type femoroacetabular impingement model. The subjects were divided into 4 groups, each undergoing a distinct surgical procedure: group I underwent a 5% cam resection at the head/neck junction, group II had a 10% cam resection at the head/neck junction, group III received a 5% cam resection from 5 mm proximal to the head/neck junction, and group IV underwent remplissage to replace the loss of the suction seal with an extensor tendon graft in the defected area after a 10% cam resection at the head-neck junction.
Direct reciprocity is a wide-spread mechanism for the evolution of cooperation. In repeated interactions, players can condition their behavior on previous outcomes. A well-known approach is given by reactive strategies, which respond to the coplayer's previous move.

The overexpression of IL-6 can indicate various health complications, such as anastomotic leakage, cancer, and chronic diseases. Therefore, the availability of highly sensitive and specific biosensing platforms for IL-6 detection is critical.

This systematic review and meta-analysis examines the effectiveness of science-based mobile apps for reducing anxiety. A systematic review was employed to identify experimental studies on science-based mobile applications developed anxiety disorders. International databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, SCOPUS and ProQuest were searched to locate relevant articles.

Mutations identified in virus sequences obtained from persistently infected patients bear signatures of immune evasion and have some overlap with sequences present in variants of concern. We characterized virus isolates obtained greater than 100 days after the initial COVID-19 diagnosis from two COVID-19 patients undergoing immunosuppressive cancer therapy, wand compared them to an isolate from the start of the infection.

Many pathogens, including the African trypanosome , extend their antigenic repertoire through genomic diversification. While evidence suggests that depends on the generation of new variant surface glycoprotein (VSG) genes to maintain a chronic infection, a lack of experimentally tractable tools for studying this process has obscured its underlying mechanisms.

Objective: The research was conducted to examine the relationship between student nurses' knowledge levels and attitudes regarding pressure ulcer prevention.
Method: The research was registered between 01.05.
Objectives: The aim of this study is to develop the 'Developing an Ethical Attitude Scale for Pain Management in Nursing' to assign the ethical attitudes of nurses in pain management.
Methods: The population of the study comprised nurses (n=411) working in a university hospital in İzmir. The Ethical Attitude Scale in Nursing Pain Management was developed in five sub-dimensions: 'Care and Dignity,' 'Ethical Values,' 'Attitude,' 'Rights,' and 'Pain Management.
The construction of neuronal membranes is a dynamic process involving the biogenesis, vesicular packaging, transport, insertion and recycling of membrane proteins. Optical imaging is well suited for the study of protein spatial organization and transport. However, various shortcomings of existing imaging techniques have prevented the study of specific types of proteins and cellular processes.

Asymptomatic adnexal masses are commonly encountered in daily radiology practice. Although the vast majority of these masses are benign, a small subset have a risk of malignancy, which require gynecologic oncology referral for best treatment outcomes. Ultrasound, using a combination of both transabdominal, transvaginal, and duplex Doppler technique can accurately characterize the majority of these lesions.

This review focuses on the initial imaging in the reproductive age adult population with acute pelvic pain, including patients with positive and negative beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) levels with suspected gynecological and nongynecological etiology. For all patients, a combination of transabdominal and transvaginal pelvic ultrasound with Doppler is usually appropriate as an initial imaging study. If nongynecological etiology in patients with negative β-hCG is suspected, then CT of the abdomen and pelvis with or without contrast is also usually appropriate.

Cervical cancer is staged based on the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) classification system, which was revised in 2018 to incorporate radiologic and pathologic data. Imaging plays an important role in pretreatment assessment including initial staging and treatment response assessment of cervical cancer.

Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in a university hospital surgical oncology clinic. This study was conducted on 80 patients who had undergone breast cancer surgery in the last 5 years in a surgical oncology clinic of a university hospital.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Fear of Pain Questionnaire for Children-Short Form (FOPQC-SF) in children/adolescents with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).
Methods: To evaluate validity of FOPQC-SF, 70 children/adolescents with JIA were included. Data were collected using Pediatric Quality Of Life Inventory 3.
Lymph node biopsy is indicated in patients with suspected malignancy or lymphadenopathy due to unclarified reasons. Lymph node biopsy can be performed as fine needle aspiration biopsy, core biopsy, or excisional lymph node biopsy. In particular, the diagnosis of malignant lymphoma is considered insufficient for oncological treatment unless classified into subgroups.

Patients are characterized by the development of intraabdominal fibrotic tissue surrounding the small intestine as a result of chronic inflammation of the peritoneum. Small bowel perforations due to foreign bodies are not frequent in clinical practice.

Only very recently, it has been used to describe within-host and between-hosts dynamics of infectious diseases. In this study, we present explicit and implicit discrete epidemic models motivated by the time scales modeling approach.

Until 2020, two genetic lineages of influenza B virus-Yamagata and Victoria-circulated in the population. These lineages are antigenically distinct, but the differences in virus replication or the induction of host cell responses after infection have not been carefully studied.

Such agonists stimulate oscillating calcium waves, the frequency of which drives the strength of contraction. The main purpose of the present study is to conduct a meta-analysis and systematic review to identify which risk and protective factors are more strongly associated with CP/CV and possible consequences of CP/CV among children and youth in Türkiye.

SARS-CoV-2 infection during pregnancy is associated with severe COVID-19 and adverse fetal outcomes, but the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. Moreover, clinical studies assessing therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2 in pregnancy are limited. To address these gaps, we developed a mouse model of SARS-CoV-2 infection during pregnancy.
