Phylogenetic studies of aberrant species are of considerable scientific interest because their taxonomic rank in traditional systems based on morphological characters is not infrequently overestimated. (Braun, ) is one of the few psilostomid digeneans devoid of the pharynx. This is considered a sufficient basis for assigning it and similar species to the subfamily Apopharynginae.

According to the results of a sociological survey of 10,237 parents of schoolchildren during the period of emergency transfer of students to distance learning in the initial period of the spread of coronavirus infection, a low provision of children with technical teaching aids was revealed: only 18% of children had a stationary computer at home, 42% of children had a basic gadget available. available for training, there was a smartphone. At the same time, it was determined that children also use gadgets for a considerable time for personal purposes (entertainment, games): according to 17% of parents, 3-4 hours, and 8% of parents answered - more than 5 hours a day.

The patterns of F-actin in the musculature, 5-HT immunoreactive (IR), FMRFamide-IR neuronal elements and α-tubulin-IR sensory receptors were investigated. The general patterns of musculature, 5-HT- and FMRFamide-IR neuronal elements in the 12 species studied here and in paper I are similar to those observed in other cercariae and reflect the morphology of the groups.

The patterns of F-actin in the musculature, 5-HT immunoreactive (IR), FMRFamide-IR neuronal elements and α-tubulin-IR sensory receptors were investigated, and they were found to be rather similar in all the cercariae studied. Four species have seven paired 5-HT-IR neurons in the body, and P.

The analysis of literary data and own investigations of gastropod molluscs on existence of cercariae of trematodes in Belarus was carried out. 13 856 specimens of 11 species and 2 species complexes of freshwater gastropod molluscs were examined on infection with cercariae of trematodes in 2010 by the authors of this article. Total infestation was 13.

The patterns of F-actin in the musculature, 5-HT immunoreactive (-IR), FMRF-amide-IR neuronal elements, and α-tubulin-IR in sensory receptors were investigated. The NMS in the five species studied were compared with each other and with three species of Schistosomatidae studied earlier (Bilharziella polonica, Trichobilharzia szidati, and Trichobilharzia franki).

A control group consisted of 20 healthy individuals and 20 patients with chronic opisthorchiasis. A diagnosis was established by colonofibroscopy and a morphological study of colonic biopsy specimens.

Study Design: Punctate smears taken from patients with ductal carcinoma and fibroadenoma of the mammary gland with coincident histologic and cytologic conclusion were studied and selected. Karyometry of tumor cells was performed with the help of a semiautomatic computer analyzer of digital images.
Aim: To study the specific features of the nutritional status of patients with persistent chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in relation to the hormone-regulating function of energy exchange in terms of leptin and to concurrently evaluate the functional status of fat and protein digestion and absorption and to measure body fat percentage. To assess the influence of these factors on the regulation of the serum concentration of leptin and its potential role in the development of trophological insufficiency in patients.
Subjects And Methods: In 93 patients with COPD (Stages I, II, and III in 22, 36, and 35 patients, respectively, the nutritional status was evaluated by somatometric methods.
Fecal elastase-1 was measured in 38 patients with ulcerative colitis to evaluate the functional state of pancreas by enzyme immunoassay with the use of monoclonal antibodies. It was shown that absolute and relative fecal elastase-1 levels in patients with chronic inflammatory intestinal disorders significantly decreased with increased severity of the disease.

Absorptive function of the small intestine was evaluated by biochemical methods and with the use of radionuclides; plasma tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) levels were measured by an enzyme immune-assay. Trophologic status in 44% of the patients with COPD was unaltered whereas 14% had an excessive body weight.

Material And Methods: Small intestinal absorption was studied in 93 COPD patients (22, 36 and 35 patients at stage I, II and III, respectively) in a clinically stable stage of the disease and in 35 healthy controls. The absorption was investigated biochemically and with application of radionuclide methods, blood concentration of TNF alpha was measured with enzyme immunoassay.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate intestinal absorption of fats, proteins and carbohydrates in patients with chronic obstructive bronchitis (COB) depending on the functional condition of the lungs, and clinical manifestation of its disorder. Fat, protein and carbohydrate absorption was studied in 68 COB patients. Lung ventilation was evaluated by means of spirography, pulmonary gas exchange--via measurement of paO2 of arterialized capillary blood by Astrup method.

Coronary patients presenting with concurrent abnormalities of the hepatobiliary system displayed a significant reduction in the hepatic bloodflow resultant from a long-duration disorder of the liver and association of disturbances in the central hemodynamics and local autoregulatory mechanisms of compensation for intraorganic circulation.

The authors describe a clinical diagnosis center working in close cooperation with a chair of therapy. Analysis of the activities of the center demonstrated the usefulness of medical divisions of such kind for practical health service, for it is at such diagnostic centers that profound examinations of patients, making use of present-day diagnostic methods, is possible at the preclinical stage. Such a possibility was offered to the residents of a large region who previously had to be hospitalized for this purpose.
