Two series of experimental researches were conducted on rabbits who had received gunshot wounds of the hind pads inflicted by middle and high velocity missiles. On the basis of the data obtained with the help of electroneuromyography, as well as light and electronic microscopy, it was found out the correlation of clinical, electrophysiological and pathomorphological parameters. Morphofunctional changes were disclosed not only in the proper zone of wound, but also at the upper and lower sides of sciatic nerve, as well as in central nerve system (SNS).

The article examines actual aspects of serious heat injuries in some kinds of military activities, and shows clinical manifestations of nervous system affection in thermal shock. The authors stress the importance of opportune diagnosis for these types of heat injuries, and describe the measures oriented to the correction of neurologic disorders in thermal shocks, as well as its role in complex treatment of this pathology.

The complex analysis of clinico-instrumental data obtained during the examination of 220 patients with nonpenetrating cerebral trauma made it possible to determine the main neurologic syndromes and variants of clinical course of trauma consequences. The article shows the role of additional methods for objective studying of neurologic disorders, and for closer definition of cerebral pathology and pathogenetic mechanisms of some neurologic syndromes. The authors give a comparative characteristic of clinical, instrumental and psychological methods of study.

Transcranial electric stimulation (TES), a combination of direct and pulse current totally up to 5 mA, rectangular impulses lasting 3-4 ms at a frequency of 75-80 Mz, via frontal and retromastoid electrodes was carried out for 30 minutes every other day. The treatment consisted of 7 to 10 sessions. Overall 189 patients suffering from vegetovascular dystonia were examined.

The authors assessed liquor biochemical indices, mainly enzymes, on day 1-3 of hemispheric ischemic stroke in correlation with brain infarction size in 90 relevant male patients (mean age 70 +/- 6 years). Clinical, immunological, liquorological, roentgenological, rheovasographic, myelographic methods and computerized tomography (CT) were used to investigate 153 patients with spondylogenic lumbosacral radiculitts. The data expanded our knowledge of pathogenesis of neurological signs of lumbar osteochondrosis. Diagnostic capacities of CT in this ailment were for the first time assessed in comparison with other investigation techniques.

In 27 patients brain tumors were misdiagnosed for several years. Most mistakes were due to the incomplete analysis of the patients' complaints, anamnesis and peculiarities of the disease development. The results of immunogenetic screening of 300 patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) were subjected to factorial analysis. Nine significant factors indicative of secondary immunodeficiency were elucidated. The development and course of the disease were found to be affected by lipid metabolism disorders and endocrine deviations in the thymus-adrenal system.
