[A Survey of School Lunch Provision for Elementary School Students with Food Allergy in Seven Cities of Osaka Prefecture].

The number of students with food allergy is currently increasing. Moreover, the unintentional mixing or accidental ingestion of allergy-causing food materials in school lunches has attracted great attention. The aim of this study was to verify the current status of elementary school lunch provision for students with food allergy.

Primary leiomyosarcoma of the inferior vena cava: case report.

The patient was a 63-year-old woman with a chief complaint of blood-stained sputum. A tumor of the inferior vena cava was found on chest computed tomography (CT) and identified as a primary tumor based on multidetector CT and contrast-enhanced MR angiography. An intrapelvic tumor was also discovered.

Vascular protecting effect of angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) on the radial artery graft.

Purpose: We hypothesized that the vascular protecting effect of an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) reduced endothelial damage of the radial artery (RA) after coronary bypass and conducted a comparative study.

Patients And Methods: One hundred and sixty four patients were divided into the following two groups, Group C: 92 subjects who were orally administered Candesartan 8 mg/day, Group I: 72 subjects who were administered Imidapril at 5 mg/day. Graft angiography was performed one year after surgery and the RA intima was evaluated using an angioscope.

[Intraarterial concomitant chemoradiation for tongue cancer: analysis of 20 patients].

Subjects were 20 patients with tongue cancer treated between April 1996 and December 2002 with intraarterial infusion of cisplatin (60-120 mg/m2) (and docetaxel 10-30 mg/m2) and intravenous infusion of sodium thiosulfate followed by 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) (800-1000 mg/m2) for 3 to 5 days. All patients underwent radiation (50-80 Gy). Ten had stage II, 4 stage III, and 6 stage IV A disease.
