Importance: Increasing evidence supports the oncologic safety of de-escalating axillary surgery for patients with breast cancer after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC).
Objective: To evaluate the oncologic outcomes of de-escalating axillary surgery among patients with clinically node (cN)-positive breast cancer and patients whose disease became cN negative after NAC (ycN negative).
Design, Setting, And Participants: In the NEOSENTITURK MF-1803 prospective cohort registry trial, patients from 37 centers with cT1-4N1-3M0 disease treated with sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) or targeted axillary dissection (TAD) alone or with ypN-negative or ypN-positive disease after NAC were recruited between February 15, 2019, and January 1, 2023, and evaluated.
Background: This study aims to identify factors predicting recurrence and unfavorable prognosis in cN+ patients who have undergone sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC).
Methods: The retrospective multi-centre "MF18-02" and the prospective multi-centre cohort registry trial "MF18-03" (NCT04250129) included patients with cT1-4N1-3M0 with SLNB+/- axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) post-NAC.
Results: A total of 2407 cN+ patients, who later achieved cN0 status after NAC and subsequently underwent SLNB, were studied.
Objective: The aim of the idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM) consensus study was to evaluate the etiology, diagnostic steps, and differential diagnosis and propose a widely accepted clinical classification of this mysterious breast disease.
Method: The organization of a national IGM consensus was decided by the joint evaluation of the Turkish Federation of Breast Diseases Societies, SENATURK, and the Society of Breast Surgery. First, a working group of 11 members was formed, and a survey and workshop were organized to reach a common consensus.
Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of obesity on the results of laparoscopic adrenal surgery in patients with Cushing syndrome.
Methods: This retrospective study was performed in Department of General Surgery at Erciyes University School of Medicine between January 2010 and January 2023. Our analysis included Cushing syndrome patients who underwent unilateral laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) with the transabdominal lateral approach.
Background: Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is an extremely damaging complication that can occur after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). There is no study in the literature investigating the relationship between systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) and systemic inflammation immune index (SII) values and prognosis and infection in patients who have undergone TKA. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the inflammatory index values and the rate of PJI in patients who had previously had TKA.

This retrospective study was designed to evaluate the effect of a partially hydrolyzed synbiotic formula on growth parameters and the possible occurrence of major gastrointestinal adverse events or morbidities in infants born via cesarean section (C-section) delivery.
Methods: C-section-delivered term and late preterm infants who received either partially hydrolyzed synbiotic formula, standard formula, or maternal milk and followed at seven different hospitals from five different regions of Turkey, during a 1-year period with a minimum follow-up duration of 3 months were evaluated retrospectively.
Introduction: This paper explores teachers' views on the impact of STEM education on the labor market. This study focused on teachers' views to investigate STEM education and the labor market and the relationship between the two.
Methods: The sample consisted of 32 teachers from different branches.
Background: The present study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of transperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) for large adrenal tumours by comparing the outcomes of tumours larger than 6 cm with those smaller than 6 cm and also to identify the risk factors associated with prolonged operative time in transperitoneal LA.
Patients And Methods: One hundred and sixty-three patients underwent LA at our clinic from January 2014 to December 2020. Bilateral LA was performed in 20 of these 163 patients.
Aim: We aimed to evaluate (immunohistochemically) the YAP expression in breast cancer patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy and to clarify the relationship between the molecular characteristics, treatment response and survival data and the YAP expression, and hence, to clarify the prognostic significance.
Material And Methods: One hundred and four patients who were diagnosed with Breast Cancer between 2015-2020 and underwent Neo Adjuvant Chemotherapy were included in the study. Estrogen Receptor(ER), Progesterone Receptor(PR), Human Epidermal Growth Receptor-2(HER2) and Ki-67.
Aim: The study aimed to examine the nursing students' expectation, satisfaction and perception regarding the clinical learning environment.
Background: The clinical learning environment is the place where the students socialize professionally and gain professional competence.
Design: This was a cross-sectional descriptive study.

Background: Although adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in adolescents are partially presented at the national level, few studies of ACEs in working adolescents by comparing them with those who are not working that provide an opportunity for international comparison have been conducted.
Objective: This study was aimed to compare the ACEs of working and nonworking adolescents.
Methods: This study was conducted in Turkey with 213 working adolescents enrolled in the vocational training center and 457 nonworking adolescents enrolled in high schools between the ages of 15 and 18.
Background: Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) carries a risk of long-term pulmonary sequelae. High-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) is a method of detecting such structural changes. This study is aimed at characterizing structural abnormalities associated with BPD and at evaluating the clinical findings in the newborn period associated with HRCT scores.

The role of Wingless-type (Wnt) inducible signaling pathway protein-1 (WISP1), a novel adipokine and placental proteoglycans in intrauterine growth, is not known. We aimed to measure umbilical cord blood levels of glucose, insulin, leptin, WISP1, and placental proteoglycans [glypican-1 (GPC1), glypican-3 (GPC3), and syndecan-1 (SDC1)] which are thought to have an important role in fetal growth and investigate their relation with birth weight.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence of obesity and hypertension, as well as the associated risk factors, in school-age children.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in 21 schools in Antalya, Turkey.
Background Turner Syndrome (TS) is a frequently identified chromosomal disease in humans characterized by short stature, sexual infantilism, streak gonads, primary amenorrhea, and a number of somatic anomalies. Approximately 55% of TS individuals have a nonmosaic 45,X karyotype. In addition, a cell line with a Y chromosome is present in 5% of patients, which is undetectable by the standard cytogenetic analysis.

Fetoscopic laser photocoagulation (FLP) is the optimal treatment option for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome; but can cause central nervous system, extremity and intestinal system injury.
Case: We report the case report of ileal atresia and severe cerebral infarction co-occurrence after fetoscopic laser photocoagulation treatment.
