Methods: The study was completed with 63 adolescents (aged 14-15 years) of which 21 were in the motivational interviewing group, 21 were in the health education group, and 21 were in the control group.

Novel psychoactive substances (NPS) in the form of impregnated papers delivered to prisoners are of particular concern in prison settings, where they are commonly used by vaping. The purpose of this study was to create a qualitative method for identifying the various emerging NPS impregnated onto paper samples sent to prisoners. It helps to demonstrate that these findings can be used to predict drug prevalence and trends in prisons.

Introduction: Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent chronic inflammatory disease that is defined by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside of the uterus. The most common localization is the ovaries, and endometriosis in this location is then called an endometrioma. According to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) (2022) guidelines, the most commonly prescribed treatments for endometriosis include drugs that alter the hormonal milieu.

Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study conducted at Sisli Memorial Hospital, ART and Reproductive Genetics Center, between January 2011 and May 2021. A total of 3805 good-quality FET cycles were included in the study. First trimester pregnancy loss rates were evaluated according to female age, paternal age, body mass index (BMI), diagnosis of infertility, endometrial preparation protocols (natural/artificial), embryo quality (top/good), presence of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), history of recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), recurrent implantation failure (RIF), severe male infertility, adenomyosis and endometriosis.

Methods: At 24-38 weeks of gestation, 65 pregnant women diagnosed with FGR were included in the study. The fetal biometry measurements, MCA pulsatility index (PI), and MCA PSV Doppler evaluation of the cases formed at the diagnosis and the delivery were recorded.

While numerous studies have already supported the effectiveness of the IOP-29, research on its newly developed module, the IOP-M, is much sparser.

Carbon-negative cement manufacturing from seawater-derived magnesium feedstocks.

This study describes and demonstrates key steps in a carbon-negative process for manufacturing cement from widely abundant seawater-derived magnesium (Mg) feedstocks. In contrast to conventional Portland cement, which starts with carbon-containing limestone as the source material, the proposed process uses membrane-free electrolyzers to facilitate the conversion of carbon-free magnesium ions (Mg) in seawater into magnesium hydroxide [Mg(OH)] precursors for the production of Mg-based cement. After a low-temperature carbonation curing step converts Mg(OH) into magnesium carbonates through reaction with carbon dioxide (CO), the resulting Mg-based binders can exhibit compressive strength comparable to that achieved by Portland cement after curing for only 2 days.

Methods: A prospective observational study with a pre-test and post-test design was used.

Symptom coaching and symptom validity tests: An analog study using the structured inventory of malingered symptomatology, Self-Report Symptom Inventory, and Inventory of Problems-29.

In this pilot and exploratory study, we tested the robustness of three self-report symptom validity tests (SVTs) to symptom coaching for depression, with and without additional information available on the Internet. Specifically, we divided our sample ( = 193) so that each subject received either the Structured Inventory of Malingered Symptomatology (;  = 64), the Self-Report Symptom Inventory (;  = 66), or the Inventory of Problems-29 (;  = 63). Within each of the three subgroups, approximately one third of participants were instructed to respond honestly (Genuine Condition, = 21; = 24; = 26) and approximately two-thirds were instructed to feign depression.

Presenting the consequences of feigning: Does it diminish symptom overendorsement? An analog study.

Feigning causes personal and societal consequences, in both civil and criminal context. We investigated whether presenting the consequences of feigning can diminish symptom endorsement in feigned Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). We randomly allocated non-native English speaking undergraduates ( = 145) to five conditions: 1) Truth tellers ( = 31), 2) Civil context feigners ( = 27), 3) Civil context warned feigners ( = 26), 4) Criminal context feigners ( = 29), and 5) Criminal context warned feigners ( = 32).

Objective: Primary epiploic appendagitis (PEA) is a rare cause of abdominal pain revealed by torsion of colonic structures called epiploic appendices. In this paper, we present our clinical data and experience regarding this rare condition that may be confused with many diseases, such as acute appendicitis, diverticulitis, salphingitis, renal colic that may require emergency surgery.
