Introduction: Localized scleroderma is a rare inflammatory skin disease that causes sclerosis in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. Oxidative stress may play a role in the etiology or be responsible for the chronicity or progression of the disease.
Objectives: We aimed to investigate the presence of oxidative stress in patients with localized scleroderma by examining thiol-disulfide balance, ischemia-modified albumin (IMA), and prolidase parameters.
Background: The impact of routine preoperative anesthesia evaluations on potential perioperative complications remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the effect of preoperative evaluation on early perioperative hemodynamic and respiratory complications.
Methods: This prospective observational study analyzed data from patients aged 18 to 80 who underwent elective surgery between October 15, 2023, and February 15, 2024.

Background: The aim of this study is to compare the insertion sites of drainage tubes placed in the left thorax after elective coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgeries.
Materials And Methods: Patients were divided into two groups based on the site of tube insertion into the left hemithorax: those with a tube inserted from the subxiphoid region and those with a tube inserted from the left intercostal region. Comparative analyses between these two groups and factor analyses contributing to the outcome were performed.
Introduction: This study investigated the influence of sociodemographic factors on the dietary habits of athletes of the Polish Biathlon Association. Focusing on age, education, employment status, and gender, this research assesses food choices, meal preparation, and nutritional awareness within a structured sports environment. A cross-sectional survey of 54 athletes was conducted using a modified "Eating Habits of Poles" questionnaire to explore food selection, preparation methods, consumption patterns, and nutritional perspectives.

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the anticipation of a mechanical perturbation applied to the arm during a reach-to-grasp movement elicits anticipatory adjustments in the reach and grasp components. Additionally, we aimed to evaluate whether anticipatory adjustments in the upper limb might be global or specific to the direction of the perturbation.
Methods: Thirteen healthy participants performed reach-to-grasp with perturbations randomly applied to their dominant limb.

Purpose: Chondral and osteochondral lesions in the knee are common conditions that significantly impair individuals' well-being and can lead to osteoarthritis, imposing substantial burdens on healthcare systems. The limited natural healing capacity of articular cartilage necessitates innovative treatment strategies. Microfracture (MF) is a widely used technique for knee chondral defects, but its long-term efficacy is often inadequate.

Methods: This descriptive study included amputees who presented to Adıyaman University Training and Research Hospital.
This case report details a female patient with multiple sclerosis in her 30s, who experienced a significant fingolimod rebound syndrome post partum, characterised by worsening neurological symptoms and severe demyelinating lesions. Traditional treatments, including steroids and plasmapheresis, were ineffective. However, the introduction of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) led to remarkable improvement in her symptoms and disability status.

Methods: A retrospective cohort analysis covering a five-year period was conducted at two MS centers. Data on demographics, clinical presentation, MRI findings, EDSS scores, annualized relapse rate (ARR) in the first two years, and CSF analyses were analyzed.
Background Vaccines have the most important role in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. With the widespread use of vaccines, COVID-19 has remarkably declined. Adolescents were vaccinated after approvals for this age group, which was later than adults, and a nationwide vaccination program was implemented in August 2021 in Turkey for adolescents ≥12 years of age.

We aimed to evaluate the clinical characteristics and treatment responses of patients with psoriasis undergoing MTX monotherapy. Data from adult patients with plaque psoriasis who received MTX monotherapy for at least 3 months between April 2012 and April 2022 were retrospectively evaluated in 19 tertiary care centers.

Developments in breast cancer treatment have extended the life expectancy of these patients, raising the issue of morbidity of breast cancer surgery, the major cause of which is axillary dissection. The aim of the present study was to establish the safety of sentinel node biopsy (SLNB) in patients with a clinically node-negative axilla after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT).

Presumably, these types of exercises can be particularly useful for people with physical disabilities, who experience problems with access to sports and leisure facilities due to architectural and communication barriers. However, it is interesting whether the intensity of PA in VR is high enough to provide users with health benefits, as it is mainly based on arm movements.

Objectives: It was aimed to compare the characteristics of patients with pediatric and adult-onset morphea.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on the records of 183 adult morphea patients.
Introduction: The aim of this study was to compare the frequency of sarcopenia, functional status, fear-avoidance behaviors, biopsychosocial status and quality of life in RA women with healthy controls.
Methods: 25 RA women and 25 healthy women were included in the study. Definition of sarcopenia was assessed using parameters recommended by the European Working Group on Sarcopenia (EWGSOP): Bioimpedance analysis for muscle mass (body fat ratio, skeletal muscle mass, skeletal muscle mass index); grip and knee extension strength for muscle strength and 4-m course gait speed test for physical performance was applied.
Lakes are an essential part of the terrestrial water system in which storage changes are controlled by water balance and human impact. Although there are some attempts to define storage changes on a global scale, examination of spatial relations is poorly quantified. In this study, therefore, lake storage changes have been investigated using remote-sensing-derived data around the globe.
